As above, poorly controlled BS levels will cause issues.

Equally in men with both Type 1 and Type 2 Diabetes, long term lack of control of BS levels can, and often leads to Erectile Dysfunction over a period of time. As you may be aware this is caused by vascular issues, which can also have effect on lower limbs.
