Gum clinic, just google and you will find your local one with opening times etc or your gp will do it.

its a drop in centre for under 25's, they do family planning and sexual health checks

Theres a list of clinics on their site so you can see if theres one near you

your better of getting tested at the same time as for telling them your swingers thats up to you our local GUM clinic knows what we do and it doesnt shock them one bit

honesty about number of partners and risks exposed to is good or you're defeating the object a bit. They have seen and heard everything so no need to be embarrassed but it's only natural to feel a little apprehensive

You dont have to admit to doing anything you dont want to, but the more honest you are the better they can offer you what suits your needs, they do this day in day out and they will not bat an eye lid if you do say your swingers

When i go i get the full works, at my request, i get throat, viginal and anal swabs and blood tests, if you went in saying you was a couple who only had sex together they wouldnt offer you all that as they wouldnt see the need so best to be honest

Your local Genito-Urinary Medicine clinic, or GUM clinic for short. Don't put it off, get checked

We both want to get it done and make it a regular occurance only had a couple of meets in the last 12 months but want to start getting checked for safety's sake, just a bit nerve racking biting the bulet for the first time, can we just walk in and get seen together or make an appointment?

A lot of GUM clinics are walk in yes. If you google search your local one, their details opening times and procedures should be listed online.

some of the clinics do walk-in sessions and my advice is to turn up half an hour earlier than they say to turn up just to make sure you get a place. The forms won't be handed out till the appointed time, but they'll know you've been there early and you'll get a place alright.

Some you have to book an appointment for. You can do it this way too - it's all very discreet. You can choose to give a mobile number or email address for the results and whether you want any results sharing with your GP. It's honestly no biggie and is dealt with with the usual confidentiality.

Don't wrack your nerves over it. You'll be just fine. Go together where possible and they'll do your treatment as a pair. The important thing is to be open and honest. They have heard everything and honestly won't be shocked.

Usually the results are done on a no-news-is-good-news policy, so if you hear nothing you'll be clear.

Some of the clinics are going over to Virgin Care, and some even moving to branches of Boots Chemists. So these things will be more accessible from the high street as time goes by.

Best thing you can do for the both of you is to go.

I go every month and yes sometimes it can be a little uncomfortable but wouldn't say it hurts

I would honestly tell them you swing. As for a start they give you a fuller test. And you get more condoms. Mine joke with me when my sexual partners number is in single figures that I must have been ill.

It's not scary really.

right its not a scraper its a thin bit of plastic and its done so quick its over before you know it... Its the build up to it thats worse. Seriously it would even hurt a baby! My neice had her ear pierced and didnt even moan about it!

What i find scary is someone of this age not knowing where to get tested, in this day of age, when theres plenty of education nearly all doctors have posters up about sti, as at moment rife.

i thought it was just general knowledge and commen sense

Alternatively there are also web-based services that test urine samples & prescribe medication by post.

"Dr Thom" is one such site, it's run by Lloyds Pharmacy and is endorsed by the NHS.

If you go to Chams, they have a regular drop in session there on Mondays, not sure about other nights.

We used that in November.

Blood tests for both, urine test for D, a quick self swab for C, no stress. All done in 10 minutes and obviously they know we swing as we were at the club!
