"Clubs are even safer, they have staff and security that know why everyone is there, no judgemental hotel staff and if you get stood up you have a building full of sexy people. 100% Agreed if your meeting someone for the first time, but if it's someone you have met before and trust, a hotel can be nice and intimate with no distractions like people trying the door handle to see if the room is occupied every 10 minutes." First meets definitely clubs, subsequent for hotels is more intimate

"Is the implication of booking a hotel wrong for meeting, where it my have links to a sex worker or is that just being too critical of them self " Don’t book a hotel for the first meet! Set social near the hotel with instant online booking. If it is going good - book a room. It’s 5-10 min job max. If no connection or no show - well, at least you can enjoy coffee and feeling of saved money

"Clubs are even safer, they have staff and security that know why everyone is there, no judgemental hotel staff and if you get stood up you have a building full of sexy people." We often get asked to meet men in clubs but feel that there will then be an expectation especially as they’ve probably paid a quite high entrance fee.

"Hotel bars are OK but it does send the message that you are expecting more.. that could backfire if you meet in the Savoy and the other person thinks you have booked a £1000 a night room! For a first social, any half decent bar or restaurant is acceptable. I would steer clear of a club for a fisrt meet unless you know that the person you are meeting likes attending clubs, definitely not a good place to meet someone who is new to the scene.. having a stranger standing nearby knocking one out can be a little off-putting at the best of time.. " And as someone mentioned above, people rattling on the door handle to see if the room is free, people standing nearby talking loudly about the football/doing Xmas shopping/who they pulled last week/who they’re hoping to fuck next, and indeed; can you find a room that isn’t still warm and wet from the people who used it last…..? Why anyone would prefer a crisp, clean, comfortable hotel room with a proper bed all to yourselves is beyond me……
