Is the implication of booking a hotel wrong for meeting, where it my have links to a sex worker or is that just being too critical of them self

Most people prefer initial meets in hotels so that someone isn’t coming to your home or safe space - some people can be dangerous with your personal info

Thank you for cleaning that up, I had a misgiving that it makes a partner feel that uneasy but I totally see the safety too, thank you

Clubs are even safer, they have staff and security that know why everyone is there, no judgemental hotel staff and if you get stood up you have a building full of sexy people.

100% Agreed if your meeting someone for the first time, but if it's someone you have met before and trust, a hotel can be nice and intimate with no distractions like people trying the door handle to see if the room is occupied every 10 minutes.

First meets definitely clubs, subsequent for hotels is more intimate

Hotel can be fun but I'd say when a person has been chatting for length of time and built up not only trust but a great connection having a social prior can lead anywhere saves wasting money and expectations it's just going with the flow

I would never assume we both be compatible in real life just because we chatted or cammed online. Only tell in person so never book a hotel for first meet

Iceland, but Aldi is closer..

Hotel bars are OK but it does send the message that you are expecting more.. that could backfire if you meet in the Savoy and the other person thinks you have booked a £1000 a night room!

For a first social, any half decent bar or restaurant is acceptable.

I would steer clear of a club for a fisrt meet unless you know that the person you are meeting likes attending clubs, definitely not a good place to meet someone who is new to the scene.. having a stranger standing nearby knocking one out can be a little off-putting at the best of time..

I love a hotel meet, something about playing in a hotel but for safety I won't meet socially in a hotel bar. I've the fear that it's easier for the person to get me to the room if I were not want to. Its a safety concern more for me.

Plus I'd rather try to keep the social and meet as cheap as possible for all parties.

We have almost all of our meets in hotels. However, we always meet at a local pub first, so there’s no pressure to play.

Don’t book a hotel for the first meet! Set social near the hotel with instant online booking. If it is going good - book a room. It’s 5-10 min job max. If no connection or no show - well, at least you can enjoy coffee and feeling of saved money

Just bare in mind last minute cold feet is very common. So if you do book a room be prepared to enjoy the room alone.

I have in the past booked a room for myself and arranged to meet in a bar near by. This way you are not putting any pressure on either party. Just enjoy getting to know each other with the option of a place to go if all goes well. Plus you can have a drink without worrying about the drive.

Last time I did this we met in a cocktail bar early doors. Had a couple of drinks and got on incredibly well. I said I just need to pop out briefly to go check into my hotel and drop this bag off. She said she'd come with me because she was nosey to see what my hotel was like. We went into the room to drop my bag off. However we didn't leave the hotel room until the next morning

Wow that's all really good advice and really nice to see how to play it by ear and also to not be giving the other partner a feeling of any pressure from expectations

We often get asked to meet men in clubs but feel that there will then be an expectation especially as they’ve probably paid a quite high entrance fee.

And as someone mentioned above, people rattling on the door handle to see if the room is free, people standing nearby talking loudly about the football/doing Xmas shopping/who they pulled last week/who they’re hoping to fuck next, and indeed; can you find a room that isn’t still warm and wet from the people who used it last…..?

Why anyone would prefer a crisp, clean, comfortable hotel room with a proper bed all to yourselves is beyond me……
