If someone blocks me do they lose the verifications I have left them as well as me losing theirs? Not sure how it works

yes they do. One advise: make sure you also block them. They may take you off their block list time to time to spy on u xx

You can still block someone who's blocked you.

Do it via their profile on the mobile site (you still get the option even when blocked) or type the username in the box at the top of your block list
