Got a neighbour who I always chat to in passing. He's a really nice bloke. I've seen his wife a few times in her dressing gown through their front window, which I think she uses as an office but I've never got to chat with her, though I'd like to. They are pretty much the perfect couple next door.

Is there a subtle way to find out if they are into or would be interested in swapping without being blatant and potentially come across rude if they aren't? Not wanting to 'shit on my own doorstep'. Any advice?

Let just say they were (most likely hypothetically). I would say they are entitled to their private life and not havinh to worry about thinking if the neighbours are aware of their private activities. If they are not open about it or approaching you personally I would go with just forget about it. They do their thing (whatever that is or isn't) you do yours.

A word of caution based on observational experience!

A neighbouring MF couple, whom I strictly keep at arm's length, were very friendly with their next door young single female neighbour (several years ago); but things turned so sour that she had to leave because of the intense and vociferous animosity that arose out of a simple misunderstanding.

I would suggest you should never bother in a swinging context with anyone local.

I have several desirable and attractive female neighbours, but it would never go any further than that. Never!
