So apparently our profile views have been visible since god knows when, and I'm absolutely mortified!! Have been doing a lot of perving today, and worried I've ruined the chance of a certain meet.

Might just be my anxiety talking

Nah, I wouldn't worry about it. If they've noticed you've been popping back for another peek it's probably more flattering than stalkerish

Indeed! You can make it so that others can't see you've looked at them. We keep it on because it attracts unwelcome attention

Annoys me when I get a wink or message from a hidden profile.

How am I supposed to know if I'm interested in responding, if I don't know anything about them.

Shame it can't be like getting a message, which allows you to bypass their filters.

Thank you! Not bothered by this particularly, but your thread drew my attention to the privacy settings page, where I saw an option to turn off search engines being able to find you.

When I started using the site I was unaware that there was a stealth mode and in another forum post my ignorance was laid bare. I took it on the chin, but I'm not going to enable it. I like people to know I have been watching, seems more polite somehow. In exceptional cases, I even message for images that either excite a lot, or are very classic or artistic.

It's not often I go ninja mode, I see it as a way of someone being able to see I've viewed them, I never make an unsolicited approach if I'm not what they are looking for but have on many occasions been approached at their choice as a result of having visibly perved their profile.

No idea. I've got a long impressive... Profile, which some people like.

But that doesn't translate into actual meets. My last fab meet (other than socials) was pre-lockdown.

And I don't want messages which are shorter than the user name, which is the bulk of them.
