So finally have a couple I think I can gel with but now I’m wondering. Should I leave after? Do I stay? I’m unsure of the etiquette x

What would you prefer to do?

As it will be the first time you have met them I’d probably say go so as to not put yourself under any pressure.

If it’s successful and you meet them again then maybe stay longer.

We’ve already met for drinks so it’s second meet which we’ve agreed is at their house. I asked them and they said it’s up to me

Really can’t answer this one for you as only you and couple can decide. It depends on how you all get on and if comfortable staying. It can be very nice and intimate when stay. Nice to hold in arms and hug as go to sleep after lovely time

Personally I'd have no quarms in stopping over if offered and I felt comfortable. But I'd want to sleep in the spare room

Only a must if the couple would prefer you just there as an 'extra', vs someone they want a bit of a friendly relationship with too, no? I have no impulsion to be anyone's animated 'sex aid',so if it's uncomfortable for them to be canny with me after sex and not weirdo's? Then it'd be also a firm no thanks on hopping into bed with them either

I think the fact that you are questioning this says you should plan to leave. It isn’t about etiquette so much as how comfortable you feel with them.

We had a recent meet with a lovely lady who we had built up such a good connection with beforehand that when we offered for her to stay she didn’t hesitate. We gave her the spare room with her own bathroom and no pressure whatsoever.

We assured her that her room was her space so once the play was finished and we all went to bed we didn’t invade her space and she didn’t ours… until the next morning when we picked up where we left off the night before. No awkwardness at all.

However, you all have to be completely comfortable with this and if there are any reservations at all - plan to leave.

We have fab friends stay over and always the spare room. Someone said cringe factor the following morning? Not our experience at all, we always make our guests a nice breakfast and have good craic and a giggle at the breakfast table. We know how to treat people with respect and how to be polite so never ever a cringe factor the morning after. Like someone said OP if your meet and you are looking to form a friendship you should stay and work on that friendship. If you feel it isn't going to work make your excuses and leave. We are sure it will work itself out. Most of all have a great time

Have stayed the night with couples after a meet. But as people have already said very much up to the couple/yourself to decide. Always scope for early morning fun too??

Take your things so you can stay over, and then leave if you decide you don’t want to stay. You won’t know which you feel comfortable doing until you are there, so don’t worry about it.

Our bed is big enough for 3 or 4

From our point of view as a couple we’d only have someone over if we’d met them a few times anyways and we’d like to think we’d gotten to know them well enough to have that discussion prior, if the lady lived locally it would entirely be up to her if she stayed over or went home. If she lived further away the again it would be a discussion prior.

Depends on what's going on and when whatever is going on ends.

Have your own hotel room taxi etc prepared just in case or if local then just treat it as anything else and make sure you can get home (taxi if drinking etc).

Lots of good advice above.

Maybe don’t stay the first time but don’t rule it out. It all depends on how you get on.

We have a single female friend that we book a hotel room with and all sleep together. Well, normally Becky and her and I get shoved out.

In the morning we do normal stuff and play some more if we feel like it.

Overall, be comfy with the people you’re with.
