Homemade sex swing

So we've been looking at installing a sec swing in the spare room. All the swings online look thin and cheaply made. We've used a swing before which was made out of a disability sling. It was heavy duty and really comfy. Anyone heard of this before? Anyone have any recommendations for good slings or swings?

Well a disability sling would have been designed by a proper engineer and certified to not break so would definately be sturdy. However it might have an "NHS aesthetic" that doesn't go with the theme of your spare room. You could probably get one second hand off eBay quite cheap as most disability equipment doesn't have second hand value (if it was bought privately, otherwise it goes back to the NHS).

The only sex swing I have used was in a Club so it was "commercial grade" rather than "consumer grade" for durability. Was clearly custom constructed using very sturdy chains.

I think to get what you want you either need to get into DIY or find someone else who is! Some chain, eye bolts and a leather seat of some kind.

Maybe adapt a playground swing?? Really it's the seat and any stirrups that are the custom bit.

We got one of the cheap looking padded ones from ebay as a tester. Hooked it up to a 2 inch steel tube, ran chains to a carabiner onto an eye bolt through ceiling via an piece of m10 threaded bar and through a piece of 2inch by 5mm angle iron spread between 2x 10" I beams in the loft. Works a treat, people love it and can take a good weight.

Obviously our setup is fairly unique regarding the ceiling fitting, but the fact remains the cheap ebay padded webbing ones aren't that bad. Has lasted a few years and seen plenty action

Try a garden swing. You know one of those cotton ones with the wooden beam/pole. I have set them up for couples in secluded woodland before between the V of a tree. Being cotton they are strong and easily washable.

Yes, I agree the leather ones online are thin and expensive for what they are. Try a reasonably priced one and soften it up in the washing machine and then give it a good application of leather oil. The thin ones when softened up are really quite good and strong. It is all about the comfort!
