Hi All - I have some issues with strawberry skin down in my lady garden, I love to be hairless so like to shave every couple of days.

I've tried so many different brands of razors, shaving creams/oils/using conditioner, hair removal creams even tried an electric razor but nothing seems to do the trick.

So if anyone has an ideas or even tell me what you use (down to the brands) that would be so lush of you!

I have no issues with using a razor, and particularly on my ‘garden bits’, I use a Gillette Venus razor. It always gets me lovely and smooth - I use it on my legs too. It has like a balm on either side of the blade.

Don’t know if you’ve tried that???

From a male perspective: I like to rock a landing strip and shave every couple of days. I have found that shaving in the shower helps. I use a ladies razor and Dove Deeply Nourishing Shower cream/gel. Always make sure the skin is warm (hence the shower helps), larger up well and then shave slowly in a downwards direction so that you don’t scrape the skin or cause the hair follicles to grow in. Go over it a couple of times if needed - lathering each time.

When get out make sure you moisturise which helps the skin to cool.

Once I worked out this routine I have never had an issue.

I shave every few days just to keep on top as mine grows rapidly

I use an electric shaver. It’s a beard trimmer / body groomer - it has a small clipper and a micro foil shaver which leaves me rash free and smooth

Dove soap and a Mens razor the Gillette mac 3 blade they are much better than womens. A ground coffee scrub. Always use a fresh blade after every few shaves. I then apply a babies eczema lotion. If I ever get a bad rash from shaving too often I lather myself in sudocreme over night and it’s usually gone by the morning.

I tend to use the Wilkinson Sword Xtreme 3 Sensitive razors once a week with a sensitive shaving gel.

Then I keep the smoothness with a Cleancut intimate area shaver. I think they’re Japanese. Made really well and run for months on one battery.

They’re brilliant in my opinion and have used it for about 8 years just changing the top/blade every year.

You just put a light dusting of talc on so you’re dry and gently whizz away. It’s really safe.

If looking online, it’s a stainless steel cylinder shape with a rounded top. It’s honestly the best thing I’ve used for shaving my bits and it gets every little bit.

Thank you for the advice - I've bought a new razor today with a sensitive gel hoping that helps otherwise will look into getting a men's razor. Also the Sudocreme tip - yes that sounds spot on can't believe I never thought about that. x

Try soaking a flannel in hot water and then place over your lady garden for a minute or two, this opens the pores and relaxes the follicles, then you should be ok to shave. Don’t forget to moisturise after

The hair takes a while to get used to what you'll be applying as well as the skin. Shampoo can be good as the hair down below isn't far off from stubble kinda hair unlike the head but also leaving what ever your using helps rather than just applying and straight away trying to shave it Nivea shaving foam, shower gel

Have you considered one of those home laser IPL things? They don't completely get rid of hair but definitely slow down the growth and thin it out a bit.

I shave every few days then aloe Vera and lavender oil, this keeps rash free and smooth, veet sensitive occasionally but to be very careful hit and miss this

As above niar hair removal cream

Don't leave it on for the full amount of time it says on the Box as it can burn

Leave it for approx 5 mins you can rub the hair away with hand

An no rash from shaving

It sounds awful but using a new razor every time you save will help alot as well

The more you use a razor the more dull it gets and it pulls at the skin causing trauma.

Shaving cream, exfoliating the area and a good non perfumed moisture on the area after will do you wonders

This used to work for me before I started waxing

Woowoo - hair removal cream for the vag! Amazing stuff, super quick. No burns and hair grows back a lot less than shaving! Or Gillette Venus spa breeze razor - new blade each time though. Good shaving gel/foam helps too I’ve found

I used to have the same problem! I’ve moved to a single blade safety razor (old school) with changeable blades and the difference has been incredible.

It’s cheaper than the plastic disposables and I can use a new blade every time as they are penny’s. It’s also sorted any irritation out!

From what I understand multi blade razors tend to pull hair taught and catch it as you make a pass causing irritation.

A super sharp single blade safety razor won’t.

Just don’t be tempted on the single blade disposable super market ones, the blades aren’t sharp enough. Buy a decent handle of the internet and a pack of blades. I personally like the Gillette platinum. A quick Google on single blade razors will validate my comments

My Mrs has just purchased a laser hair removal thing, I might give that ago when I'm brave enough, I tend to do ok with a nice sharp razor & shaving gel
