Fabswingers no longer recognises my webcam, it's worked in the past and works fine on skype, can anyone advise me how l can get it to open again, in chatrooms ?

Try unplugging it then plugging back in. I have to each time for some reason .

It seems with some webcams having the driver active can stuff up the cam recognition stage of the chat window openning.

This is certainly the case with the current build of SplitCam (which works as a virtual cam allowing me to do some editing between the physical cam and the transmitted video). To get SplitCam to work I have to have the software installed but not running, open the Fab chat window and then open SplitCam whilst on the chat landing page. Its a bit of a flaf but it does allow a few interesting things like running a second cam as a picture in picture overlay.

It might be worth checking if your cam is loading any management software during your PC startup if that can be disabled so that it starts manually or when the cam is actually requested.
