I have had experiences with this.... where my Dom wanted to explore - fair enough for them. But I don't choose to date a switch as I have a string personality so any subbie ness seems to come to the forefront in any partner

People often seem to frame the notion of ‘Dom and sub’ around particular acts but (in my opinion) that’s got nothing to do with it. It’s an organic mind state. Another way to think about it is: who is in control and who is not. Acts done for pleasure are rarely relevant to this question.

I would classify myself as switch. There’s definitely been many self-professed Doms that have been interested in experiencing the switch.

To my mind I can understand people saying if a person was to switch within their relationship, it would be hard seeing them as a Dom/me.

However, to say a person is either a Dom/me or a sub, smacks of "one true way ism" or believing in domly stereotypes.

My understanding id thst modern BDSM is all about interpersonal relationships, and not rigidly conforming to a pre 1970s stereotypes. Particularly, as most people on Fab calling themselves Dom/mes or Masters are either "Tops" or "hedonists" If your only skill is rough fucking or giving orders in my books that does not make you a Dom.

I had a fun interaction last week at Eurekas after an afternoon of sunbathing. At end of the session I was entering the main building to shower, I overheard an attractive woman mentioning a spanking bench. So I asked her "What spanking bench?" She pointed to one in the field.
