Club newbies, want to try chams. Expectations?

West Midlands

Me and my husband are wanting to visit chams. But are worried we may not fit in due to what we are looking for and worry about etiquette.

We visited SamePlace in Amsterdam and had alot of fun, No pushyness or unsolicited touching and was free to do what we wanted with no worry.

We are not looking to do full swaps(yet). We Enjoy being watched and we enjoy watching other couples, also same room own partners. Im also bi sexual and i enjoy playing with like minded women while my husband watches and on the odd occasion joins in to assist pleasuring me. We are worried we might not be seen as "real swingers" or are too picky. We are also wanting to go to make friends and have a place to go to socialise in a nice relaxed atmosphere. Having not done this before we are unsure of rules both written and unwritten and etiquette.

Thanks for your time and help, hopefully you can ease our minds and and relieve some anxiety regarding it.

following this as looking for the same advice.

Also how far from home to feel/ be safely discreet. I know everyone says swingers are trust worthy and you're all in the same boat but we'd planned to make our first club visit and European one but can't wait the 2 or so more years until kid-free holidays.

If we go a couple of hours down the motorway will we be safe (public facing jobs where we're well known) or should we go away for a weekend to another part of the country?

You'll fit in well at any club. We don't full swap and have lots of fun. Some people will only full swap, that's their choice. You stick to what you want do and you can have great times. No one should ever feel pressurised at a club. Have fun.

Chams is very friendly & everyone is non-judgemental. In all clubs no means no & you won’t feel pressured to do anything you don’t want to.

Sat evenings are couples only if that’s your thing

Chams is a brilliant club in our opinion. As has said before it’s very friendly and relaxed, and excellent for social as well as play.

The staff are fantastic, they’ll give you a tour and lots of advice and if anybody should be inappropriate to you, you only need to tell them and they’ll act promptly. It also has a good mix of open playrooms, along with closed rooms and also some where the door is close able, but “bars”, so if you want you can play together, with others watching, and not having any concerns about anybody encroaching on your space.

Hope you enjoy if you go xx

Definitely worth a visit and everything that you described in your OP is possible at Chams. Enjoy.

Chameleons really is our favourite club. It's a big but relaxed club and well attended. Friday/Saturday are a bit more lively (and the dance floor is open) and Sundays and week days are lovely and chilled. So depends on the vibe you prefer. We love you can spend all day there. Especially in Summer when you can enjoy the sundeck all afternoon and fun in the club all evening. The facilities are many and very good. The same staff are great and friendly but it's very professionally run.

Main things to note Monday is Bi night (but very much a good bi guy night and every night is bi Girl not on the scene really). Saturday is couples and single ladies after 7pm.

It's dress down and I know that's not for everyone. But even those who don't think it's for them generally find is perfectly OK and settle in fast. I'm our experience dress down clubs seem to be more better at putting everyone and ease and getting more social with each other ironically.

Thank you this information. We would def be going to couples/women only nights, so the Saturdays.

From what we gather women walk around in their sexy underwear but men have to have their boxers or a towel? Are men allowed Tshirts at all?

Staffs

We love Chams it's the best club by a country mile

In fact it's where we met face to face for the first time

It relaxed non judgemental with no expectations what so ever

The staff are awesome and they do the best Cheese toasties...when you need to build up on carbs ..in the world

Only problem is they have to close at 3am in the morning and we always want the party to continue

"

We've never seen guys in t-shirts but that's not to say they couldn't wear one; I guess. Maybe check with the club directly first. Guys are usually just using a towel or in boxers; as it's a dress down club (there's a sauna and a steam room). We find it's easier to dress down especially if you are using those 'wet' areas. As others have said it's a friendly place.

We generally don't swap either but I'm (Mr) happy for Mrs to play if she chooses.

As clubs go it's very friendly and as with all clubs there is not any expectation to play or do anything out of your comfort zone. We are going again soon; so may be see you there!

Have fun whatever you decide to do.

We tend to get there around 8pm and yes gives you time to have a drink and get your bearings. They will give you a tour so you'll have a general idea of the layout.

We do find time flies when we're there so it also helps to be there early in that respect too!

Ask the club directly... But a towel, boxers or short shorts is what guys usually wear. I wear shorts when I go personally..

If anyones wants to try the club before paying yearly membership fee, we’re having a party for Mrs _erverts bday this Friday, we have a thread on here if you get your name on the list you can enter as a non member. Unlikely anyone will need it though tbf, after a couple of hours in there you’ll be signing up for the year anyway

The first club visit is always going to be terrifying from a mental perspective. You imagine all sorts of worst case scenarios and get inside your own heads.

The reality is, once you get inside it's almost an anticlimax as it all feels rather more ordinary than you ever expected Every club we've been to has had the same relaxed yet sexy vibe.

We don't full swap and very rarely involve others. We love to meet new people tho. I'd say 85% of our club visits have just been us doing our own thing whilst being watched. Either from the same bed (fucking next to another couple is so hot!) or just from those in the room.

In 8 years, I think we've only encountered one couple who tried to push us into playing at their level. A friendly yet firm 'no thanks' was all it took.

We've not yet been to Chams but it's definitely on our list! We've heard lots of good things about the place.

I get that, Saturday would be best for your first visit. Don’t discount Fridays though once you get used the place, we don’t go for the single guys but have had some fantastic Friday nights there, it’s a different crowd lots of banter etc.

It's upto you really, they're open from 12pm on a Saturday. We normally make a day of it. Get there early afternoon for a chilled daytime session with the daytime crowd, maybe enjoy the sun deck (with the right weather). Then party all night till closing. Sort of get two club visits for the price of one that way.

As to T-shirts on men never seen it done (other than a fancy dress night). I don't think it's allowed by the dress policy technically. But there nothing to worry about there. It's so freindly and accepting you quickly forget your dressed down at all and totally at ease. Plus if you want to wear nothing at all that is perfect fine too and mandatory in the hot tubs.

This is exactly why we prefer xtasia as its a dress up club

Part of the fun for us is the undressing

Not really interested in strolling around in my boxers or a towel

Not too bad for ladies as they can wear basques or sexy under garments

I was asked to remove my t shirt before as rules are shorts or towel only for guys hope this helps

Chams is amazing and whatever you decide you’ll have a fab time - personally we’d say go with some friends- ideally swinging friends - or arrange a meet from fabswingers friends

Go with no expectation or pre conceptions and an open mind - you’ll love it

We’d say stay over - gives you somewhere to chill , get ready , escape to or if it goes well - even somewhere to party !!!

Have a hoot xx

Sweet and Juicy xx

They are two different dress codes and we go to both and enjoy both equally; maybe because they are the same but different!?

One is dress as if you are going to a club and the other is as if you are going to a spa. Xtasia does have a hot tub too and you'd still need to get undressed/dressed to use it! At the end of the day it's horses for courses. If you intend to play a lot during the course of the evening you might find it gets tiresome; dress, undress, dress, undress... or not.

They are both excellent clubs and it comes down to any personal preferences.

I love Chams as a single female. I often just go to chat/flirt and watch. I will sometimes take along my toys and solo play amongst the play couples (if they are happy for me to do so!)

I recently went to Chams for the first time.

Loved it.

Will be joining as soon as I can for all the positive reasons above.

Seriously and genuinely if anyone is worried about going - as a couple or single, male or female - I would have no problem at all meeting up and going with you if it helps. I’m no veteran and your only obligation would be a beer and conversation!

Maybe you could pay it forward for someone else in the future who may be unsure.

All these comments are very useful!

We are thinking about a naughty trip away from London mid-October. A bit nervous but very excited about trying Chams.

what would you say is the best day / type of crowd we will see if we go on a Thursday or Friday? Do you advise going during the day or only evenings?

Best advice is Just Do It...

Experienced swingers can tell who is nervous and will make allowances.. regarding fitting in, dont worry about that, just relax, dont place too much emphases on what might happen and enjoy yourself, there is someone out there for everyone...

Fridays evenings are good if you want couples and single men, Saturdays are couples and single ladies after 7 so it's up to you and what you're looking for.

A club sounds a perfect place for you

There's never any obligation to play with anyone else & there's generally a couples room where you could play together and others might be in there with their own partners or someone else's
