I think we all fear what might happen although probably never would. Most folk are good but its always the bad storeys that make the news and they tend to stick in our minds.

As part of my job I regularly visit people in their own homes and up until I saw this post, I'd never given it a second thought. Its doubtful I will change as I believe that, despite what we read/see in the media, its highly unlikely you will ever come across anyone who 'has it in for you', especially if you've done them no harm previously, (as you've never met them). Most violent crimes (which is where I think this thread was aiming at) are done by people who know each other. (obviously there are exceptions and I understand why people are cautious) but for the vast majority we live in a safe place really.

So I drove to his, it was late at night. Made sure he opened the door rather than me knocking.

He looked a bit embarrassed and said he had had a few drinks and might not get it up.
