She may not have had time to reply to the first message she may even now be a little miffed at being given an ultimatum in your second message, just wait to see if she gets back to you,if she does then have a grat time,if she does'nt then get making new plans

So a day before a meet you've sent a pushy email because they've not replied to a message an hour ago. To be honest I'd personally say that the second message was sent way to early and if we were the recipient it would put us off.

There a host of reasons why someone might not reply immediately and few why you can't wait till tonight or tomorrow for a reply

sounds a bit dodgy mate. Don't waste you're petrol. If she read you're message she should have the decency to reply even if she has had second thoughts

Putting the 'cum' in Eboracum

Personally I would have got a phone number and sent a text. Someone may not be able to reply to a message on here but would be able to reply to a text. And you would be able to speak to her tomorrow to confirm meet details.

I have a feeling you might have put her off now.

Doesn't seem desperate if she has agreed and all was going well,Myb she has just gone off the idea,it does get flustraiting when folk do this, just see if she replies and if not just cut your loses and move on,it does happen from time to time dude

Sometimes I log in read emails and don't reply to one of us get in from work, sometimes we read emails and one of kids walk in so can't reply till much later when they not around... Does not mean we can't be bothered.

Maybe she hasn't had time to reply x

Usually send a message and a text to make sure there's no crossed wires or network problems as it's rare for both networks to be out of action at once. If no reply on either at the due hour then it's mission aborted.

We would never arrange a meet with someone if we didn't have a phone number for. She may be genuine but without a number we find it difficult to finalise plans and I like to txt as we get closer to time and give an idea of when we will arrive.

For what it's worth I think you did right thing send message about cancelling if you haven't heard from her. I personally wouldn't get upset if I received a message like that. There are allot of time wasters out there and I think making sure you have contact this close to a meet is very important. If she dumps you now overcrhe message it probably was never going to happen snd she will use it as an excuse

Must admit if it was a day before a meet I was having and I saw the person I was meeting making a post moaning about me not replying to a message I would cancel, even if I had intended meeting in the first place.

I arrange meets at weekends well in advance, and usually request for confirmation if it is still going ahead by Wed evening before the meet.

This way, I still have time to make alternative arrangements if it falls through.

The day before the meet, I would ask again if the meet is going ahead.

On the day of the meet itself, I would normally request for text confirmation when the gent is about to set off before I would set off. If I don't hear anything, then I would presume the meet is off, and would delete and block to prevent further contacts.

I don't usually give second chances. Peeps mess me about at their perils.

I have learned through bitter experience over the years to require a mobile number before i'll even consider meeting. And if i dont get a reply on the day of the meeting - I won't bother to travel.
