found out yesterday that windows live messenger is going to stop soon,,so anyone experiencing peoblems with it,,this may be the cause

dont know if this is the right place to post this

its because microsoft purchased skype and want everyone to use that

I've already stared the process of : getting skype, getting a skype account for my msn contacts, moving my msn contacts over to skype.

We'll see what next Microshit have to offer soon, lol.

ive had skype on my phone for a couple of years now.

3 users can have calls and video calls for free.

i wont use yahoo messenger.

even though it is the most popular according to amount of users its full of spam.

not for me.

I don't use msn anymore, I didn't like the fact that one had to have a windowslive account, also it got hacked into plus I rarely used it so if Microsoft have purchased Skype, I hope they do a better job of protecting customers than they did with Windowslive and msn

Messenger always used to crash my comp. Interesting that they own skype now as last time I went onto msn hotmail it looked a child had designed it.

Whatsapp is a phone based instant messager app. Two contacts need the app installed plus each other's phone number for it to be used. Hope that helps.

That is what concerns me as I don't want people having my Iphone number; I have a separate phone for swinging, unless of course they is a way of blocking anyone if I needed to

I use Yahoo instant messenger, and not had a problem with spam, I do also have whatsapp for vanilla friends but when i don't want to give out my number Yahoo is great.

Yeh Microsoft Lync is replacing it apparently buy from what ive seen its pretty much for businesses so far and you pay for it.

We usually Skype or Whatsapp anyway
