BDSM is a very broad term. It's a bit like saying I'm interested in music where do i learn, but notwithstanding that I'd say go to LAM or a local munch (kink orientated social meet I'm a vanilla setting usually a pub)

Do a Google search for fetish web sites and read around the subject. You'll find out where your interests lay and probably where they definitely do not .

You'll find people to chat to on fetish sites but to careful and don't get involved with anyone who tells you their way is the only way or is unhelpful.

Good luck and enjoy the journey

Any recommendations for web sites as I tend to find the commercial ones with lots of fake profiles etc

Posting links is against forum rules. I'm sure if you do a little research you'll find some. Also if you just want to gather information commercial sites are ok

Munches are your best bet for connecting with people, just expect to put time and effort into making connections/friends.

There are lots of books and websites dedicated to the various aspects of BDSM. It is a journey of self discovery, learning about yourself.

I would be wanting to know what draws you to BDSM?

You will find this very welcoming with a broad spectrum of BDSM under one roof, eye opening

Munches are definitely a good introduction. Usually a totally pressure free gathering in a pub. The BDSM community is generally very friendly and helpful with newbies. As others have said, being interested in BDSM is quite a broad area, but get involved and see what you enjoy.
