Me and gf are looking at going to our first club. Is there any that are best for first timers. We've looked at Townhouse as it looks pretty good. Any advice or know or any places better?

If you not sure if you'll like it or be returning avoid clubs with a big up front membership.

What are you looking for from a club. Think vibe, facilities, dress code etc. Clubs are all a bit different. If you give us a bit more information on what you want from a club we'd be in a better place to advise you. Townhouse in general is not a bad choice though, its a nice club.

Its what we struggle with the idea of. Never been to a club, we want to try it but with the initial cost of it all & if its not a good experience it may stop us ever going again.

So first time needs to be good really.

We have visited Townhouse and loved it. The club is great and people very friendly. Great for a first time club visit

Townhouse is fantastic for a first club visit! Absolutely our favourite place

Upfront cost wise, it's not all that far off a regular night out, especially if you're a couple. Off the top of my head, Townhouse membership is £20 a year? With about £15 entry fee on top, depending on the night. Some are free entry. The bar prices there are a lot cheaper than in a regular pub. You could probably get by on under £50 for a 7hr saturday night out for the two of you.

Obviously there's potential hotel and travel costs but it's certainly worth it to have the experience and to settle any curiosities you may have

Atlantis in Stoke on Trent was £30 on our first visit for us if we recall. Annual member fee of £10 and £20 to get in. £20 for the year after that.

Atlantis lifetime membership is now £12. No yearly costs.

Entry is £10 ladies, £20 per couple and £30 for single gents.

Excellent value

Thanks, we stand corrected.

It's a good club and the staff gave us a quick tour when we first went.
