"I must say I do get rather annoyed with people who are particularly rude in their profile with regards to single males, it is not needed as the O.P. has pointed out. " When you get numerous mails daily from men asking to meet, cam, swop pics when it POLITLEY says on your profile we dont meet single guys, then you would understand when a cpl start to state it very clearly in caps that they dont meet single men. Its very simple for all, not just single guys, read a profile find out what the other is looking for then send a mail that is going to stand out from the rest and not a one liner. i get a feeling this thread as been done many times over

"hi all, even now after all this time I'm still surprised by how many peeps say on their prof single males dont contact us! please follow these simple steps and everyone will be happy. Message Filters Filters are a useful way of ensuring YOU only get messages from people you want to hear from. Your filters mean that people must be all the following to message you: No filters: Anyone can mail you (apart from people you have specifically blocked) Change your filters: Single men (yes, they can mail you) block them Newbies (yes, they can mail you) block them Not got public photos on profile (yes, they can mail you) block them Not verified or (yes, they can mail you) block them Not site supporters You must be a site supporter yourself before blocking same. PS. The filters don't apply and still people can message you if you... Have mailed someone before (so if you mail someone you have otherwise filtered, they can reply) Winked at someone (because if you wink we figure they should be able to reply) Have them as a friend (because that makes sense) " Single male here and if a profile says they don't want contact from single males I wouldn't contact them. Why should the other people filter out people they dont want contact from if they dont want to use those settings? Would it not be simpler for the person reading the profile to actually read what it says and don't contact them? Or is that just too much like common sense?

"I was highlighting the ones who were particularly rude! " But it is their profile and it is up to them what they say on it, who they want contact from and what filters they want to use, etc! Just move on and avoid the profiles you think are particularly rude. Again just common sense!

"But they do. If it is so irritating that it is beyond even your imagination why not use the filters? No I dont think they should have to but its not a perfect world and things dont always work out the way you think they should. So click the button and a lot of the stress and angst will disappear." read the whole thread hunny
