East Cheshire

We visited a club one Friday a few weeks ago after being let down and it was VERY quiet. Nobody in the play rooms and mostly old men frequently walking past Cherry, she was not impressed.

Any one visited a club in the North West recently that was quite/very busy ?. Which club and which night ?

It’s not the volume of people that make a night… it’s the actual people themselves that make a night!!

I do think sometimes people have an over reliance on a club to do the mixing thing, when some people either just sit in a corner, or wander around like silent lambs not saying boo to a goose (that applies to both singles and couples!)

Sometimes a little effort to say hello to people goes a long way…..

I couldn’t agree more Fabio! What makes a great club? Fixtures and fittings/decor. What makes a great night? People who talk to you! Something I found sadly lacking when I visited Club Play in December

You didn't find people to talk to in ClubPlay?

I've always found it really friendly and easy, and if there aren't many people in the staff have always been very friendly.

North Wales

We went to Amore on a Sunday a few years ago. It was just us and the barman for an hour until another new couple came in. We clicked with them straight away and had a great time exploring the empty club together

We tend to check a club's website first to see when the couples night is and go then.

There was one couple in, also for their first time visit, they had messaged me through Fab to say hello, which I did. I chatted with them for a while, but there wasn’t any ‘chemistry’ going on. Chatted with a couple of single guys at the bar, but that was it. I left at 10.45

Lucky night !. Our night wasn't completely wasted as got on great with the staff and a gorgeous couple came to sit with us. Yet no play and the place was no where near as busy as we remember it, we always managed some naughtiness on previous visits.

That's a shame. What day of the week was that?

I've only done Fridays and Saturdays.

Friday 17 December. If I go again, I'll check if you're on the guestlist first

Huh, odd. I guess every club has bad nights.

I'd probably have stayed longer tbh, but that's just me. I know in some clubs, there is an influx of people after 10, as many have to deal with kids, Babysitters, get ready and then get to the venue.

It's a 3 hour drive for me, so I normally go on party nights or ensure there are people I know going first.

Yep, I got there too early I think. Went in just after they opened at 8 o'clock, so unsurprising I was bored after 2 1/2 hours of my own company. It was certainly a lot more busier in the Weatherspoons on the front, where I had my dinner and a couple of pre-club drinks lol
