"I find that correct spelling, grammar and politeness goes a long way in emails. When I read things with 'your' instead of 'you're' or 'there' instead of 'they're', it makes me cringe. Most people went to school for at least 10 years. Try to use what you learnt. Basically, I don't find ignorance and stupidity attractive and it can come across immediately in a poorly written message. There - rant over "People think I am being a total pedant when I witter on about this, but guys just don't get it that women put a LOT of store behind the standard of writing in messages and use it as one of the key ways to form an impression of the sender.
And just DO NOT get me on 'text speak' (innit doode!!) ARRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHH!!!!

"On the topic of advice for single males, wonder if anyone can give me any. Looking through the tips below, I think I meet some of these. My profile is short (a bit like me!!), but I think it's to the point. I'm not a bragger, in fact the exact opposite. Certainly don't think I'm going to get super model look a likes. Try to be myself, and honest without telling everyone my life story The problem I have is I've never had much look with women, even down to getting dates. So confidence is at an all time low, and I'm terrible at approaching women, well I believe so. I haven't put a picture of my profile mainly due to been embarrassed, should someone see it and then see me walking down the street. That might sound like I'm saying everyone is going to take the piss which probably isn't the case, but it's happened many times before. I'm no Hollywood Hunk, but I'm not to bad!! I do have pictures I can send though, and have done when sent messages. If anyone can help out with some ideas that would be a great help.
