"Is it advised to display verifications for meeting in person? " It can be a poisoned chalice. People see them and are put off by who you've met. Give grief to the people you've met. All sorts of silly nonsense around showing them. If people are put off by who we've met, good. Saves us blocking them. Winston

"Of course. Think of it in comparison to eBay feedback." Nothing like it really, on ebay a negative review is out their for all to see.

"Is it advised to display verifications for meeting in person? " Up to you. I don't like to see more than 4 visible veris or the summary on profiles.

Winston" I used to proudly display all of mine in detail until one of my meets met another in person and made up some lies about things I had said (or not) about them. The truth eventually came to the surface as it was not the only time they had made up lies. I thought I must have done something wrong, but couldn't work out what! As they say, pride comes before a fall. It seems some people in adult life haven't progressed far from the school yard. I am now a little more guarded with my verifications because there are weird people out there. And just like a court of law, anything you say (or publish) may be used against you".

"I find them a helpful addition to the actual profile which often is somewhat short on detail." In what way are they helpful though? I find 90% of them all look the same. It's not like people would ever show a negative veri.

"Is it advised to display verifications for meeting in person? " Swings and roundabouts. If we met a couple and got on REALLY well with them, repeat meets and growing friendship etc then no we wouldn't want to show their veri. Why ?, twice now we've had a previous meet pester friends without speaking to us first (we've had a profile here in one form or another for 8 years or so). Showing veri's can help those who are unsure, new or have been messed around though. We have shown verifications for someone to view, then hidden them again. .. On a side note, where we've had repeated meets we ask them not to verify us again

"Is it advised to display verifications for meeting in person? " I would say yes, it's better to have them on display, as in the past, when I've only had a summary on show, people have asked to read them anyway
