Help! I’ve seen a few profiles which say the m is a Viking. Sorry to be thick is this a swinging term or just they look like a Viking?

There’s lots of terms I may have to google…..

Ps I have Googled and returned nothing

I *think* it means they look like a Viking. Whether they turn up to meets in a horned helmet is up for discussion.

Ps I know Vikings didn't really wear them

I'd think that they may have Scandinavian roots. We have Swedens ShagTonight, of course

No just a term used by a certain type of poser. Like warrior or soldier or other perceived masculine label. Most of these people don't know the first thing about Norse culture. P.S. viking was a job not a race of people.

BOLDON COLLIERY

The term Viking was not a race. But was an occupation, The norse went "viking" or raiding. This was an Anglo Saxon name for the raiders.

Maybe they are pagan, following a Norse path? It's possible. I am pagan, not norse myself, but I have met many who are.

At the moment it often seems to mean someone who got an undercut after watching too much TV.
