firstly thanks for the improvements thus far with the site

dont want to sound negative but this new MF , F, M makes an already 'difficult to whisper' process even more challenging...

and I will more than likely mess it up, much to the amusement of the room lol

Agreed, makes the room look silly. As if whispering people wasn't tricky enough.

Can we get it back to the normal way please?

I agree it's clumsy and unnecessary. Colour coding would be easier if it's felt necessary to keep the differentiation.

Don't know anything about the new whisper thingy, but would it not be easier all around to simply right click on the name of the member and send a 'whisper', or open a private chat window, as opposed to having to type (username) & (message text) ?

By the time you've typed in all this bullshit, spelled the username wrong a couple of times, the moment has been lost ..
