How do you feel about receiving overly explicit or graphic messages?

I feel that bragging of conquests or making bold claims is never a good way to create an impression online.

However I sometimes feel that by being too polite can come over as a bit too plain and vanilla for some people as they might expect a more risqué message that grabs the attention and hopefully some replies?

Surely one take a cue from the way that the profile is written?

The whole point of a well written profile is to assist potential contacts know what is on offer, wanted and the boundaries. It also gives one an idea of the tone to adopt.

It works both ways, lowing the potential contact to move on from people who are clearly after something different to what inecseeks.

I find any that have began with an explicit message, they've never touched on any of our desires, only expressed what extremes they seek.

We much prefer a Polite, friendly message touching on our profile, that caught their eye and how they feel they can play a part.

We generally don't do filthy talk, only speak of how things can play out

Funnily enough, "risque" messages aka I-want-to-order-sex-like-I-order-double-glazing-but-free are the most prevalent and you would stand out by writing to someone like they are an actual human. Also, how can anyone be "too polite" to a complete stranger? Surely that's impossible. Good manners made a good impression.

I wouldn't approach a stranger in a club and be graphic so same applies here, be polite and respectful. If after getting to know them they're into messages like that then fine but most women don't care much for those sorts of messages, especially first contact from a complete stranger in the internet

I’d delete and block if it was from a stranger. I expect to be approached on here in the same way I would be in real life. If a person walked up to me and started talking explicitly I wouldn’t appreciate it, same goes here.

Getting an explicit message from someone I’m sleeping with would be a turn on though.

Anyone else find that sometimes the chat starts off really well and then takes a really creepy turn that makes your skin crawl?
