Don't you wish this whole lifestyle was more acceptable and less taboo. We would love to tell our friends without fear. I'm sure there are many more who haven't 'opened up' that would. Anyone else came out to friends. How was it. We are worried they would change their view and think we just want them all lol

In my experience most people are pretty apathetic to new ideas and you have to push pretty hard to get much traction. Some people will be shocked, some people will be excited but most people will have forgotten about it in the morning. I don’t think most people really care what others get up to.

Totally, some of my work mates I'm sure think I'm totally boring as if I'm going to a club on Friday or something I tend to just say not doing much.

My best friends do know though so at least can share some bits with them (never all the details though!)

I've ( Male of the couple) have told a few of my friends ( the friends don't know each other ) and tbh I wish I hadn't.

Yes they think I'm living the dream but all they want to talk about is sex and swinging mainly when I speak to them .

To be frank it gets a bit boring n tedious especially when I'm trying to talk about this that or the other and all they want to talk about is sex n swinging.

Also one of my friends lives in the village where I've grown up as a child and the reaction. I get from some of the people I meet when I go back kinda tells me he's told everyone who will listen.

Our (non swjnging) freinds do know but it's not like we discuss the intimate parts with them. They know we have an open marriage, are swingers and that's about it. Dosent bother them and they don't ask much other than if we are free or not at certain times.

we don't discuss any aspect of our sex life with friends. My opinion is that if anyone feels they'd like to be open about being swingers they should be, if their friends are genuine they won't change towards them but you should be aware that other people might not want to hear it. One thing I will say is that discretion is something that many of us value and other people's privacy should always be respected

From experience with telling a few others. They don't mind knowing that we swing. The intimate details we don't discuss. The main point that is explained is that swinging (for us) is 90% just socialising.

Personally (Lenten) it's nearly on a parr (though less easy) with comming out as being openly Bisexual. Though swinging is a choice, bisexuality is an identity.

If you want to chat about an evening with out being explicit. Euphemisms like have a shared meal, and eating openly, having friend at our table, just eating together, a pure social with no food. Or eating seperately with friends. Pretty much say enough.

I’ve told my friends (Mrs) and they’ve all been fine with it, just interested really. In my mind if they are truly your friend then it won’t matter.

We’re not fully ‘out there’ but also don’t go overboard at hiding it away either
