As a relative 'newby' to the scene, can anyone explain the mechanics of a hotel meet.I assume it is booked in a couples name, but then how many people can check in to that room? Are certain chains more accomodating than others?

I have seen pics on this site taken in a hotel room with what looks like 5+ couples playing. Are hotels really that relaxed these days?Free night in seperate room with my missus for the most informative answer.

We've never had any issue with the amount of ppl allowed in the rooms they are quite relaxed they also know that a lot are Swingers as the hotel is next door but one to the swing club we openly admit to goin to club when asked why we booked ( buissnes or pleasure hahaha ) pleasure if the night goes to plan lol we also have social meets in bar and they don't bat an eye lid to be honest

It depends on the hotel.

Many of the budget ones really don't want you having too many or even any guests in your room.

The mid range ones and above are more lenient as long as you don't disturb the other guests and you don't exceed the maximum occupancy of the room for people staying over.

If there are two couples then a blind eye will be turned if you both have rooms but only choose to use one...

There are a few places which will accept three adults in a room with a sofa bed as well and there are also a few hotels with triple and quad rooms.

But if you want lots of visitors suss the place out first - if they have keycard operated lifts you'll probably struggle! Or look for motel style rooms where you don't have to pass reception to get to the room.

Key cards can be a pain but if you get 2 when you check in. One of you can then go down to let others in by giving them one of the cards. Worked for us on one occassion!

Yes, always book for two or even three, even if it's just one if you and you're expecting guests later - if nothing else you get more towels!

We have used a few different hotels for meets, usually after socials, and have never had any issues, apart from once, when a small group of us went back to a guys room.

There were two couples, one single fem and the single male who had the room.

We walked in as a group, went up in the lift, and were soon being nawty in the room.

One lady was especially vocal, and soon there was a knock at the door.

It being a small room there wasnt a lot of room to hide, so we all tried to look nonchalant as the night manager asked the guy to keep the noise down.

The manager didnt bat an eyelid at the fact that there were several of us in a guys room, even though one or two of us were rather erm... underclothed lol!

So, from ours, and other peoples experiences, we have a list of do's and dont's which may help.

Do...

Plan ahead, check out the hotel, and ask around, swinging friends may have used it before.

Go in as a group, one card gets you all in!

Appear confident and chatty... not furtive lol.

Be honest if confronted... most hotels dont care if you have people in the room so long as they arent staying over!

Ask for extra towels, get as many as you can.. nothing worse than sleeping in the wet patch!

Bring extra coffee, tea, milk, biccies etc, for halftime refreshment, fill the sink with cold water to stick the milk in, the hotel never provide enough lol!

Check out parking arrangements before hand, watch out for those sneaky hotels that charge visitors if they stay more than two hours!

Take a laptop or interwebby linked phone, for those last minute change of plan emails etc!

Try to book a family room, always a bonus having the extra space if things turn "orgy" style lol!

Dont....

Take it outside the room, they may not care what you do in it, but shagging in the lifts or corridors will get you booted lol!

Have people coming and going all night, even the doziest night receptionist will figure out something is amiss!

Let it degenerate into a wild Roman style party... discreet is the name of the game!

Have people arrive at different times... set a time to meet, round them up in the carpark, and go in as one mob.

Let people turn up dressed like they are going to a fetish club... remember, discreet, they can change in the room!

Let intended playmates get smashed before turning up.... they might try pulling the night manager and invite him/her up too, remember, discreet lol!

And the biggest dont...

Dont invite anyone you aren't absolutely sure of, a number of recent occurences in the Welsh swinging community have driven home how indiscreet some people can be, leading to events being cancelled etc.

Above all, have fun!!!

Loughborough Leics

Pick a decent sized hotel with a bar and leisure facilities, there are more people milling about and its much less obvious passing reception, comings and goings go less noticed...

had over 20 people in a hotel room once after a social.

never a problem as long as you got plenty of drink for everyone.

not as crowded as you think once the smokers go for a break

Our advice would be to choose a bigger hotel no hotel really cares...you pay your money and they all know what goes on, as long as you are not running naked up and down the corridors knocking on other doors they won't care.

But the more rooms it has, and no key system past reception, you can be more elusive

A larger hotel will not notice you come and go...and also we as a couple book in first, then meet said arranged person/people in the bar.

No need at all then to even go near reception.

We tend to use one hotel nearish for "meets" and it is quite clear of what else is going on, eg other meets and we give a wry smile

We use one fairly regularly, we don't always stay but I go back to check out in the morning and always asked Mrs ....... if I have enjoyed my stay, have a safe journey home and see you soon
