Me and the Mr are looking at going to our first club on Saturday and are excited but nervous. Do any of you lovely people have any advice?

Go expecting to have fun with each other and if anything else happens, it's a bonus. And be chatty. Have a great time! M X

just remember you dont have to play, just treat it as a night out with like minded people, if you all get on then go as far as you like, above all have fun

Visiting Blackpool

Communicate with each other what you'd like to do, also what you wouldn't. Go for walks around the club, say hello to people, give the odd compliment. If it's your first night, maybe play with each other (it will feel exciting), anything else is a bonus. Don't drink too much.

Great Harwood, Blackburn

Treat it like a night out in a pub and not a club, have boundaries in place beforehand, mingle with people and ask the host/owners fir a tour of the place.

Have fun enjoy the night out and if anything extra happens it's a bonus

Check the rules for the club and night, so if it’s dress down in the play areas ensure you follow those rules. Wear something comfortable but ensure you have something to wear that makes you feel sexy, changing of clothes is quite normal in clubs.

Be a voyeur, look around and watch others, if someone encourages you to join them, then why not.

Don’t be afraid to say no or even ask someone to leave you alone, it’s rare but if it happens again, speak to management.

Most of all just enjoy, go hoping to play but don’t worry if nothing happens, that does happen

Go expecting nothing is all we can say. Many couples don't get any interest so you have an idea from that.

If you can't go with that mentality then best not go.

Be sure to let the club know its your first time on entry. Most clubs will then give you a tour round, explain everything, give you some top tips and answers your questions. Also sometimes you find some members of staff have a great feel for people, know their regulars well and may introduce you to people. Also make best of this opportunity to ask questions.

Set boundaries, don’t force yourselves to play with someone just because your there. We’ve had great nights at clubs playing on our own

We love going to clubs mostly for the social side of things, there is never ever any pressure to actually play with anyone else, and we now actually just view it as a night out rather than heading into town!

If you ever want to try a club again but not too sure, drop us a message and we'd be happy to meet with you beforehand and go together. If it's a club we already know we can show you around, if it's not then we can be newbies to it together!

C xx

I would say if you are going to a club don’t sit miles out the way of others .... the amount of times we’ve been now and people sit out the way it’s very hard to get people to engage in social chats if they don’t look like they want to be near others. It will make your night more fun if you sit and mingle with whoever is there
