Has anybody else noticed how the majority of the new members are ignorant?

You message them and they don't reply. I wonder if they'd do that in real life if someone spoke to them in the street?

Is it just here in Cumbria or is it as bad everywhere else?

The sites FAQS say it isn't rude not to reply.

If the new members you're referring to are women they get hundreds of messages as soon as they join. Some men (and I'm not suggesting you're one of them) keep a look out for newly registered women and message as soon as they join. This leads to them being overwhelmed, the messages fall off the page and the women get disheartened.

A possible solution for you would be to wait until a profile is a few weeks old.

In my first 2 days on here with no pics on my profile I still got over 800 messages.

Luckily I was warned about this in advance but I know some women feel totally overwhelmed and leave.

A lot of people get flooded and then they get assholes who start being abusive when they dont get a reponse.

Hell, sometimes I'll even message new women simply saying that it might happen and that they should try not to let it discourage them.

I tend not to message newbies, not because I think they could be ignorant, but because I like to know they are genuine and here for the right reasons.

To suggest they are being ignorant for not replying is wrong. You won't be the only one messaging 'fresh meat', ( is that how you think of them?), as others have said they could be overwhelmed or other messages may be more suited for what they are looking for.

You’re not playing by the site rules if you’re expecting people to reply when they’re not interested. Maybe a refresh is in order?

Your profile won’t have universal appeal, so even if you’re really careful with who you message because you think you’re their type, they might not agree. That isn’t rude though.

I'm a relative newby and what I've learnt is to just be patient.

There's a weird pressure when you start to try and fuck anything with a picture, but the more you talk the more you realise we're all in the same boat. The huge amount of single men on here is also a factor and you're competing for attention with alot of other guys with pics of their huge dicks.

Sometimes it takes longer than other times and I'd rather have someone good to enjoy it with. I know too never to take being ignored as personal rejection either. You guys have no idea who I am, but that's cool.

Women, ladies get stock piles of messages try being a female for a day getting hounded by hundreds of messages as you open one to read in that split second have received another load and it's not being rude not replying people aren't glued to the site 24/7 and just same as anyone are here looking for someone they don't need looking for as they are here for themselves.

It depends what you’re saying to them whether they ignore you or not. We ignore 85% of messages we get!

If you can’t write something inspiring or attention grabbing - then why should you be one of the several hundred who email a week, who we reply to?

Also, if people can’t be bothered to read out profile which clearly has info about messaging, then we delete most messages we receive because why should we give them time if they don’t have time to read about us and instead just fire off copy and pasted bullshit they send to 50 people a night. It’s obvious and lazy

Haha I’m ranting now so I’ll shush. But yeh, when re receive nice, polite and unique messages we all ways reply. “Hey, how’s you” etc and you’re getting deleted. Not enough time in the day to reply to all of those.

I don’t receive as many messages as many of the ladies on here seem to but I still don’t reply to them all for various reasons. Many are not worth replying to anyway such as the Hi, hey you, nice tits variety. Many are from people

who have obviously not read my profile which states my preferences very clearly. Finally it may come as a big surprise but I actually have a life outside of Fab and I chose what I want to do with my precious spare time which doesn’t involve my spending all my time on here. If someone arouses my interest I may reply but otherwise it’s delete and/or block. My time. My choice.

I actually set up this profile while i take a break from my main profile for personal reasons. It's set up to put people off so i can read forums in peace. I left filters open however to respond to forum replies. But as others have said, within an hour of setting up this profile...with the heading "messages will be deleted" i received 216 in the first hour! So do i think newbies are ignorant, no, i think everyone uses Fab in the way they see fit x

It's incredibly important to assume people are rude for not replying to you OP. It stinks of arrogance and entitlement when people expect a reply.

This isn't real life and as this comment says you're not going to get several strangers saying hello to you at once and taking a reply as an " I want to have sex with you."

We're looking for people we eant to meet and it's a waste of energy replying to every single person you're not into to say " no thankyou "

Some continue to message and some decice to be childish about it.

I got a " you're not my type" from a guy and I accepted it

I said to them they didn't need to reply if not interested.

Just be humble.

I have strict filters in place but still delete the majority of my messages unread based on

- senders location if too far away

- if the preview shows a short message e.g. hi or lol or ‘want to fuck’ etc

I check profiles before opening a message, so if they’re not what I’m looking for those messages are deleted unread and I block the profile too

I like to concentrate on people who love local and send a decent message, I’ve no interest in anyone else

We’d totally ignore 200 people lining up in the street all trying to say hi/in your area now/look at my cock/wuu2/watch me wank/the 1 nice message you sometimes get. Imagine having to deal with that every time you went to Tesco.

I prefer to do this to new single female accounts. Putting them on my hot list and drop a message after a few weeks when things settle down It's worked in my favour a few times

Nothing wrong with Cumbria mate, I’ve done very well on this site over the years

I have been ignored face to face in swinger clubs as a solo guy though, so yes, it does happen in real life
