It maybe that they started on Fab as singles and created the couple's account later. You can't convert a singles account to a couple's.

Yep we had singles accounts and met through fab. Now have a couples account. We've kept our singles accounts (though mine is hidden right now).

Is it allowed? Absolutely.

As for why, it really depends in the couple.

In our case, we are happy to play solo and sometimes do. It's part of our kink and we cant always meet as a couple so we use our single accounts. We could use our couples account for when we are meeting solo but a lot of people dont like that. If thwy see a couples profile, they expect to meet a couple so it saves on confusion.

Because the couples profile is for meeting as a couple, the singles profiles are for meeting as a single, they may have different interests or fantasies from one another that would make the other uncomfortable but happy for eachother to explore, for instance I'm more vanilla than my husband but it doesn't mean I'm not happy for him to explore the things that really don't interest me with someone else

Couple that also play singularly, so thats without their partner. If they arrange single plays on thei couples accounts its considered against the rules of the site profiles.

So in short..

Couples accounts when they play together.

Singles when they play apart.

This! Our couple's profile is hidden at the moment as we need to have a discussion about where we're at and how we want to proceed. But each of us have their own single profile, to meet as singles.

We have a couples profile together and I have a single profilr where I meet alone. It work's for us and we pay our money so I see why it shouldn't be allowed.

I’m in the ‘met as singles’ camp.

I have a lot of friends I met as a single so like you chat to them on my single F account

Wife has a separate single profile to have solo fun with bi fems and lesbians. It's something that she enjoys and lots of fems prefer to meet other fems without a hubby in tow.

We are a couple, but Anita also meets on her own with other ladies. Many single ladies who only want to meet other ladies are wary of couple profiles, as there is a tendency to be a push from hubby to be involved too.

If I wanted, I could also meet on my own. I would make a single guy profile for that, that ensures that I am not bypassing people's filters when they're not looking for single men.

It's easier if they meet alone, as well rather than having to keep changing the settings looking for

We both have our own single profiles, we met here and we meet alone aswell as together.

It's so hard to find 4 way attraction and availability when meeting as a couple.

Pre covid we used clubs if we wanted a meet.

my own world

My husband and I have a couples profile and also solo profiles. We don't meet together as we have no interest in seeing each other have sex with other people and meeting a couple where all four are attracted to each other is often hard to find plus I'm more interested in meeting women than men. Our couples profile is for attending events together and hosting parties. Our solo profiles is for meeting.

We once had a couples profile yet my partner dropped out for a while. Didn't take long for some lovely do-gooder to complain I was trying to meet as a single guy from within a couples profile . That was followed by our long term member profile being utterly trashed by admin.

When she's back in play I'm not sure whether to keep my single profile when we start a new couples.. just incase lol

You should have made a new single profile to begin with and put the couples one on hold. It's not hard to do.

" You can't convert a singles account to a couple's. "

Incorrect .... the amazing admin do this via the 'contact us' button both single to couple and back again! And do it very quickly.

What I'm meaning there is that there's not much point me or Tom Cruise messaging a couples account trying to get our todgers toasted in a sea of tranquility?
