Not planning on wearing clothes a lot this summer and got a couple of good naked holidays planned. The base tan is coming on nicely. There will be time when we will be out in the sun all day long and want to protect our skin. What suncream would people recommend for best protection?

I discovered this many years ago when you could only buy it in selected Duty Free shops ..... but I swear by P20. It is however now broadly available in most H&B shops and supermarkets.

It was originally marketed to Scandinavians, who by virture are pale skinned and burn easily.

You apply it in the morning and hour before you go into the sun. It soaks into the skin and doesn’t need reapplying and is waterproof, but has never let me down.

I would also say P20. I think with the current formula you only have to wait 20 minutes to be protected. The protection lasts all day even if you go swimming in the sea or the pool. If you have a shower and a wash during the day I would put more P20 on after the shower.

Looks like P20 is definitely worth checking out.

Peterborough and Bedford

We use Calypso Once a Day sun protection. Devil normally burns very easily, used to need at the very least 30+ sun cream. Last year, she tried the Calypso one and no burn (we are naturists so we do go for full body tan). Highly recommended, and does not come with the P20 price tag.

Factor 15 in general does what most of us need over here. Brand preference is down to personal choice.

The main thing to remember is to put the sodding stuff on before it’s too late.

Take today, I put it on my face to prevent getting even more forehead lines (obtained through suncream ignorance) but didn’t bother anywhere else.

Needless to say, I’ve got red arms and havaiana marks - yet again!!!

For us, and we're naked a lot all year round, Piz Buin SPF30 Anti Allergy.

First application before going out and then wait 15 minutes before putting on clothes. Good to go!

It would depend on the type of skin because everyone is different also how well the skin absorbs and how sensitive to the sun so I couldn't suggest for these reason but it would be something that you should look into so you are protected and get the results your expecting.
