Is STI risk from oral comparable to bareback?

Is oral on a woman as risky for the man as bareback? Or oral on a man to completion?

Do a lot of people shun bareback yet engage in oral with associated exchange of bodily fluids?

In short no. Infection rates and likelihoods from oral are lower than vaginal, and a lot lower than anal. But you can still get many STDs from oral, a lot of people seem to forget this, but you'd be very very unlucky xx

I guess I have been lucky until now and haven't had any incurable STI.

There must definitely be a lot of 'pussy juice' I have tasted

Me too. I've had bareback with a lot of men and a couple of women. No issues xx

Haha I guess men would insist on oral to completion from you, given that rather lengthy looking tongue

Did you know you actually can get an Sti from a toilet seat?

It can happen if you sit down before the guy before you gets up.

Well I do have a phobia of sitting on public toilets... I prefer sitting on my own personal throne at home

"HPV?"

No I don't think so. That is a scary one.

The last test I had was just before lockdown.

Now that I'm not young anymore I think about these things. Previously screaming hormones got the better of my judgement.

HPV - Is Human papilloma virus usually has no symptoms, so you may not know if you have it. In some people, it can cause genital warts.

HIV - human immunodeficiency virus is a virus that damages the cells in your immune system and weakens your ability to fight everyday infections and disease.

After you've finished oral and the partner is contemplating aftershocks lie,ing played out on bed a quick visit to the sink for soap and water on face and mouthwash and brush teeth just to stay safe. Dissolves all nasties .

Not all STIs are tested for, so somebody will only know they've not caught something that they were tested for.

If somebody has oral cuts etc, then it could increase risk - so leave a gap after the dentist. Likewise, it's recommended not to brush teeth very shortly before oral sex. It can be good to delay brushing teeth afterwards too. But, when would some of us find the right time to brush?

Like anything in life, swinging comes with an element of risk, in this case an increase in partners so an increase in potential exposure to STIs.

If people want zero sexual risk then the only choice is celibacy or a single monogamous partner.

It comes down to risk mitigation and how much risk you are personally willing to take. Everyone has a different risk appetite as is clear from this and other threads.

We choose not to do bareback but do oral without. There is still risk but it is reduced. We also won’t meet people who are overtly meeting for bareback (their prerogative not judging) as that increases the risk profile (yes of course people lie but again, it is about mitigation not eradication of risk).

For many part of the allure of swinging is that it is naughty and a bit dangerous/risky.

I often wonder if people who are swingers are generally more willing to take risks in other walks of life?

Highly unlikely. The story about toilet seats was something made up to reduce the embarrassment of reporting STIs.

1 thing not many ladies are aware of is that multiple partners also comes with a heightened risk of developing ovarian cancer

As C is a silent infection

It’s one of the dangerous ones as you can pass it on unknowingly to every woman you see ..

You can get sti from unprotected oral sex. So why it’s important to get tested all the time.

There is a much lower risk from oral than bareback. I get tested regularly despite the lower risks. I always use condoms for sex... but never for oral

I caught chlamydia from unprotected oral in the past.

It happens! Get tested regularly folks!
