The friendship or support aspect is fine, and some swingers have found their partners, and are now swinging with them, via Fab. So, as long as people are honest about what they're wanting, it doesn't really matter, surely?

I'm friends with people on here where neither party has any intention of fucking, we just know/support each other, and it's lovely. Swingers are largely great people, in my experience.

I (J) joined here 2 n half yrs ago as a single, i joined for fun & frolics and 2 yrs ago met R for a social meet. I wasnt looking for love or anything close to a relationship but there'd be a huge void in my life without him now

Perhaps we should get rid of all the single guys who think this is an easy pick-up site and have no idea what swinging is! That would reduce the site by about half and reduce the revenue..

But seriously! If singles are here, then why not people who only want to chat? We have this line in our profile:

"Anything from talking a little risqué to full sex is OK with us. "

Everyone has to start somewhere and if that is their limit, who are we to say that is wrong! Maybe they can't be classed as swingers as the site name indicates, but in some books, they are as much swingers as singles!

How do you know if you may want to meet someone unless you talk? talking does'nt mean that a meet is guaranteed and I think that some people have difficulty understanding this

If people state they're only on here for the chat then theres a place for them too

Same as people that just want to cam

We all do what we feel comfortable with and as long as people are aware of the intentions then I don't think its a problem at all

You are in a relationship - why would you want to date? And as you are in a relationship would it not be misleading to be on a dating site?

As for talk, it's a swinging site. People are here primarily to have sex, now I will be honest I have made friends on the scene that I would never play with and while I very much value that it is very much secondary to the primary reason of being here. When people talk about the social side, I suspect few are here primarily for that but many appreciate that as a very pleasant plus point of being on here.

I repeat what i said on one of your other threads, you really confuse me. Others said that you are looking for attention an that much of what you write is bull. I genuinely don't know if that is the case but seriously is this site really helping you in finding whatever it is that you are looking for?

dating/swinging/sexsite! you seem to think this is a sex site swinging is different things to different people some its just the sex others its meetting people/talking,swinging is about being open about things.That dosent mean you're going to have sex with everyone.

I am here to meet peeps for NSA fun. If a playmate turns out to tick a lot of boxes and we progress to more than just playmates, then so be it.

I am not going to say no if someone on FAB comes along and sweep me off my feet, however, the chances of that happening is likely to be very remote.

Therefore, I shall just enjoy the fun whenever I can get it.

I think most on here are not looking for a relationship. I joined because yes I wanted to meet people and possibly have sex. I have however made more friends on Fab than any dating site. The social side is great and far more fun than I ever thought. I probably would not have made my friends without going into chat. I have been divorced for over 5 years and from an all time low with my confidence, I would now say with my friends here I'm in a great place.

Why is it a pointless topic? He's asking what people think. Many threads ask questions asking for people's opinions and people answer with their point of view. Banter follows with some good discussions, which I think is great.

I don't know why some people have such a big problem with the OP. There's a load of rude responses slagging him off for what or how he is every time he posts. If he's asking for opinions about his situation then fair enough. But in this thread he isn't so why the need to pull him to bits?

As for the original question- I think there's room for everyone on here. Some want to just chat, just cam, just meet for a one off, arrange a gang bang, only meet singles, only meet couples etc. There's so many people I think there's enough to go around.

People can change too don't forget. A lot of people have come on looking for just sex and found a partner, much to their surprise. They weren't looking for a partner, it just happened. I don't think there needs to be a 'warning' on someone's profile that there's a chance they may meet someone they like.

We agree that it's a good question - we meet people who just want sex , who want to be friendly and people who are just not sure .

We prefer to find like minded folk who wanna explore sex , and often stay in touch - and other times just meet and have good sex and never see them again .

So op , we kinda agree - it should be about sex , but often becomes a bit more !

I think it's fine to use Fab however you want. I certainly don't meet as often as I did when I first joined, and thats my choice. I prefer to come on here to read the forums and maybe perve a few profiles, not sit here desperate to meet.

By the way, according to my mate who is on a couple of dating sites, the people on those sites are after NSA fun too. He says he's never shagged so much in his life! I wonder if they have people on their forums telling the others they should join a swinging site and leave the dating sites for people who want to date. Probably.

I'm here mainly for the sex.

So when someone has been mailing me and I say thanks but no thanks and then get asked if I'll chat to them I say no.

When I want to chat crap I head to the forums. When I want to chat with friends I already have them on my friends list or I start sexting or texting.

Web cam chat does nothing for me. Neither does swapping saucy mails. It only works if it's someone I know and is a prelude to a meet.

So I discourage chat and have been called a lady dog for being honest.

So because you may be having a break from meeting, live in an area where for whatever reason your current circumstances (eg inability to accom, no clubs locally - or just that everyone in your area currently on site is a munter or not looking for your specific 'type') - or you just want to catch up with those you've previously met, or just have decided its no longer for you but enjoy the banter of the forums/chat - you're no longer a swinger (whatever that may be seeing as opinions differ so vastly!) and should pack your virtual fab bags and sod off?

If people want more than 'talk' - just focus on those others that do too! If people just want to enjoy the forums or chat - are they causing an inconvenience and getting in your way - or can they just be left peacefully to pursue their own interests at their leisure?

Given the number of new profiles screaming 'meet me now' within hours of arrival (admittedly many disappear just as quickly!) and the fact there's a constant turnover of people joining and leaving - surely there's enough room on the servers for all?

We have friends in here that we have met snd had great days out with or nights in without sex. It's nice to have friends in lifestyle.

Anyone who isn't interested in friendship and chat who just wants a quick shag isn't our type and get blocked quickly.

I dont think many people come on fab to find the love of their life, i think the vast majority come on fab to use it as a sex site, but we are only human and sometimes people will fall in love, you cant stop human nature

If two people do find love on here so what?

Guess that's more a 'selection' issue! If you're getting the idea someone is just chatting and stringing you along - move on!

There's an abundance of 'meet today' posts, plenty in the meets listings too, clubs and all sorts of folk who if you browse their profiles and check their veri's - are at it like rabbits! (and good luck to them!)

If anyone - couples, single ladies and yes - even single guys - are struggling to find genuine people for fun - then personally i'd think it was as much to do with the choice of who I was contacting as those that are responding!

It's honestly not that hard!!

I was on pof a while ago and the amount of people on it from here saying they were lookin for a relationship was unreal ... Then u see their profiles on here that say they have a burd & are looking for a quick fuck! Needless to say I've given up on dating sites for 'dating'

So IMO dating sites are just the same as these sites thesedays.

And .... personally i think that it's up to the person what they wanna do on here as its their profile & not feel pressure to meet everyone they speak to.
