I've been thinking for a while about what to do about a job, the job market for what I'm good at is terrible and then I thought why not take my abilities as an actor and my abilities in bed and try in the porn industry. I've no idea how or where I'd start but I thought I'd see if anyone had any thoughts or opinions on the matter.

I get your point Scot, a lot of porn actors seem to be a line up of identical potato headed guys but then there probably are plenty of examples of guys who don't fit that description, not to mention the fact I can actually act to a degree.

I think you are missing the fact that most people who watch porn don;t give a toss (no pun intended) if the cast can act or not...

And as already said, internet has killed the porn business - when was the last time you paid for any?

I don't think people watch porn for the 'acting'.

If you can find the Louis Theroux programmes (he did two) when he met porn stars you might think again. They are not having an easy time these days, what with various diseases, competition from the internet, and the horrendous hours they have to work to make any money. Having said that, I'm always up to make some amateur porn if you ever get up North.

My ex's ex-husband (keep up) ran a Porn Film making company, won quite a few awards as well including 'best soundtrack' (bit worrying that one. The actors who made the money were the girls, Lolly Badcock, Michelle B, etc. The guys only got pin money really unless they had a massive cock and could keep going all day. They also had to have the ability to fire when the director was ready!!

I went to a porn show in London when I was 18 and enquired about starring in a movie so they took all my details and took a couple of pics then said they would be in touch . I didn't hear anything for ages and then about 2 months later I got a letter saying to go to London again for a chat absolutely made up ! Like an idiot I left the letter in my room and my mum found it ! gutted so I never did go have never been so embarrassed never spoke about it again as you could imagine

Spot on. I went out with a former porn actress (not a star at all!) in 1985 and she put me right off ever trying to go for it. This is the reason you see the same guys over and over and over again in porn - it's ONLY, and I do mean ONLY the ones who can 'keep wood' and cum when ordered who a) have any work and b) get paid. No cum shot = no money....
