Is it normal to get friend requests from people who have never even messaged you?

I think it’s strange so I delete them.

Entirely normal. We get lots - mostly from single men with no verifications. Probably just wanting to see friends only pictures.

If you don't delete them they can't resend them.

I never understand it either if we've never spoken, just assume they are picture collectors wanting access to my private photos

Ive asked ppl why they do it. Some said it was accidental, others said it gets them noticed over sending a message.

I do think ppl do it just to see private pics. I Dont delete them as they cant send another for 30 days.

Some people collect "friends" like its a Facebook game.

Mostly op it’s just to see your private pictures so we have put “no friend requests “ in our profile which is one of the ways we can tell if they have read it or not which helps out the chaff on here.

Best of luck.

To be fair this is true. If you are friends then msgs will go to the top of the list and if you are getting lots of msgs its actually a pretty smart move as it can be difficult to maintain conversation and progress when you get lost because others are flooding the inbox.

We get them - and we don’t have any friends pics

We normally get an message with the excuse “sorry meant to hit wink but hit add as friend instead” when they’ve managed to get past the pics and perhaps actually read our profile. Fact trying that excuse as it’s two different screens

I used to delete them... then I thought maybe they want me to see their pics. So I wait till they are off line, accept the request, look at their pics then delete them as friends.

Thanks everyone. I’m a bit new to this on my own so just wanted a bit of input from you all - it’s appreciated. I’ll just keep deleting them.

I see a lot of women posting this about people requesting them as friends before even messaging.

I don’t get it, I mean they will get to see my friends pic too, and I’d like to send at least a few messages to know that they won’t be a fake pic collector also.

I think it’s the ones who request a friend request that have no friends pics of their own that are untrustworthy or more likely to be not quite who they say they are.

Could not agree more, adds more to the thrill as well, wondering what pics they may/may not have......... I mean it does for me anyway

Total Stranger friend requests are very `Fab Normal` total stranger as in never even sent a msg. I keep my `friends` list extremely limited. And yes better to not delete as then they cannot keep sending a friend request. I find it quite off the wall tbh... Avoid Them as I do

We’ve had instances where we get a message saying “ X X has accepted your friend request” when we’ve never even sent one!

Has anyone else had this happen? x

Says in our profile that we block anyone sending a friend request when we've not chatted. And we do block them. Every time

I definitely delete the requests from strangers, if there are some good messages back and forth and the other person has private pics too that's when I'd add as a friend.

I don't have any pics set to friends only and still get random friend requests. I rarely check the requests but when I do I tend to just delete the lot.

Same here, all.my pics are public. Friends are those I've actually met or know.

we get them, always from single men, we have now blocked single men from contacting us, guys, you dont help yourselves, and then come on the forums complaining you cant get meets, its just rude, block and delete, its the only way, shame that we felt the need to block single men, as we do like to meet them sometimes, but as always a few idiots ruin it for the rest

I check their pics and if I like what I see and they have friends only aswell I accept but purely because my friends pics are more boring than my public ones

99% of these types of people are pic collectors and fantasist. Never going to meet. Clearly states on our profile we need to chat first too.

We tend to ignore the friends request section, unless one we are talking with let's us know they've sent a request.
