We have been asked to delete some photos on FAB that were taken with another couple. None of them can identify the people in question. We have currently 'suspended' said photos and we just wanted some advice if you would facilitate someone else, who at the time of the photos being taken was more than happy with what you did with them. Thoughts please.

Doesn't matter if the other couple were aware of the pics and happy for them to be published; on this site you need to block out their faces.

Surprised they 'asked' you to take them down. I just got my approval rescinded until I blocked out a face in the background.

maybe they changed their mind when they saw them. If a photo contains someone else's image I think they should be able to have control over where that image is published. Incidentally I know that doesn't happen in real life but it would be nice

I think it's fair that if anyone else in your photos ever wants to be removed from them, in published format, that one obliges. It's different to someone appearing in porn, and then wanting the photos, videos etc, to be deemed as private.

It's probably quite easy to completely erase them from said photos, though may look unusual if there's lots of blacking out. The fab rules are about removing identifying features, but there's an element of personal trust involved, where others are with you, and you hold the material etc. At times like this, it's probably wise just to get some fresh ones taken.

Only yesterday I had a face pic rejected as it showed an arm around my shoulder that had a tattoo on it which someone may recognise and to be honest I never gave it a second thought when submitting it

By blanking the faces you are complying with the site rules.... so all fine there.

However, if other couple have requested that you dont show them, then to ignore that just wouldnt be cricket would it?

How would you feel if it was you asking them to remove pics?

Id delete them... you never know, the other couple may let you take more in the future that they like better

Thanks for the replys, but you have all replied to a different question to the one we asked. None of them include face pictures, any identifying marks, Tatoos, photos of loved ones in the background or anything. We really like the photos and they are very tasteful. We shall put them back up for an hour so you can have a look.

OK, thanks for the advice. We have deleted the photos from the site and they have gone forever. Still a bit to us though that you are happy to have those photos on display for 3 months and then suddenly not happy with them.

Best answer. While I can't understand that they would want them removed so much if they genuinely can't be identified from them, at the end of the day it's their choice and regardless of whether they were happy at the time I feel you should respect their wishes and remove them.

You could still look at the pics at home though. And you'll always have the memories, can't delete those.

I'm reading that that it's the other couple that have asked you to take them down. Where is the scope for even discussing this? Surely it's common decency to respect their wishes and take them down. What possible reason is there not to?

PS I'm not usually a stocking man but the pair you are wearing in your photo from 28th April are quite stunning. An amazingly beautiful photo.

We had same issue, us with freinds in same photo no faces or tattoos or anything else, they where on here for at least 6 months when out of the blue we are told to remove them within 24 hours or else, ourfriend where showing the same pics but nothing was said to them ! Power Crazy.

When we take any pics we let whoever we play with see them before we leave and delete any they dont want on the site before we leave.

They do.

It's normally a friendly arrangement that you can publish pics of others with yourselves in it on a site like this. Most people and we're the same, promise to remove tatts and any recognisable marks in order to 'anonymise' pictures. It's easily done in post processing and image editing software is freely available for download online

With that done, usually everyone is happy. Ideally you are duty bound to respect the wishes of the other person, so if they ask you to take an image with them on it out, you do so.

In 'real' life, people sign 'releases' allowing the photographer free reign to use the image. No one signs releases on here, so really just for courtesy rather than a legality, if someone asks to have a picture of them removed, you should do it.

As far as I know pic mods/admin will just remove pics, they don't ask you to remove them.

I would never put a pic that contained someone else up without their express consent and I hope other people would pay me the same courtesy.

This is why we never share pics with anyone. We never put pics online of us with anyone else and would never trust anyone else not to.

Thank-you all for the responses. We will now put some meat on the bones. We got asked to take them down because they displayed the female with Louise, nothing hanging out, no bits and pieces on display. They just didnt like us having pictures of her on public display (Fair enough, their choice, so we complied). Now, when we checked their profile out, low and behold there were pics on there of her and others! So we dug further, did a bit of stalking and checked the photo's of their verification's and guess what, pics of her on their public pictures! So, yes we agree that taking and publishing pictures is a bit of a 'Gentleman's' handshake. As previous posters have said, you cannot publish pictures on here identifying others, so the question is, why would they want them taken off? We are very confused.

Don't be confusewd about it, juat remove the pics. If someone has asked you to do so then respect that.

It doesn't matter if the other lady has pics with others and is on other peoples profiles. They don't want to be on your profile and that's all you need to know.

Why waste time looking and stalking etc. It may be that they don't wish to have a reminder of your time together shown in public, maybe the lady doesn't like something about those particular photos, she may have a spot on display, or doesn't like the colour of her outfit or her lipsticks smudged,

The point is they don't want them up. Take more pics just of the two of you, you have full control then

Site rules do state that you need permission from "others" in photos even though they are unidentifiable so you definately did the right thing here

+1 we take pictures on all our meets, show camera at the end of the night and if theres any thing they dont like it gets deleted off camera there and then,theres never any face shots, but if someone asked us to take something off which we had put onto profile we would out of respect for the other party
