Me and my partner dabble in this, it helps that we are a video editor and a tech guy.
first, you really just shouldn't film on your phone. It's the worst, you frequently have backup services automatically putting the file in places you forget about. We've made this mistake in the heat of the moment too. and end up scrambling when we open our camera in public.
My partners phone has a 'secure folder' that requires his pincode and this includes a 'secure camera' that can't be accessed by other apps, won't back up and won't show in your gallery. This is where we keep nudes and videos for sending. I also have an app called 'locked' which lets me store photos and use the camera to send photos to these locked, pin protected folders.
More often, we use an actual camera with a memory card and a PC. It's a bit easier to control where the file ends up without all those automatic backups.
There are apps you can get, such as VeraCrypt, which was mentioned here.
That's where we've been keeping homemade porn for years.
It creates a virtual hard drive on the computer that is protected by a password. tell each other the password, make it memorable, but secure, don't write it down. Keep all your content there and you can view it, edit it, upload, it or whatever, but a password will be required to 'mount' the folder to make it accessible. when you unmount it, even if someone gets the file, they can't use it at all, it's encrypted.
