Some find it a huge turn on, some find it a turn off or too painful. Advice- start small, use good lube. I would actually start with a small butt plug first (or, if you have had zero anal play, just a finger), see if you enjoy how it feels there. Keep trying bigger butt plugs until you think you're ready for a strap on. Even then start small, with one that's rather thin and not too long.
