I have no idea. The thought of glue on my lashes freaks me out.

Have you tried a curved lash applicator instead of fingers and tweezers?

Much easier to glue and place.

Also, make sure they are trimmed to size and leave the glue to to tacky before you apply

I’ve used the magnetic ones, they still require a glue type liquid and generally find one eyelash stays on brilliantly whilst I struggle with the other one

On the few occasions I’ve got it right it’s just patience and ensuring they’re correctly sized for each eye.

Using a super magnifying mirror, waiting for the a few minutes for the glue to go tacky and apply looking down into the mirror. Place on the centre first then stick ends down

I find the Faux Mink ones easiest to apply { The Pinky Goat brand are decent and reasonably priced } . Trim them to size and leave the glue on for 20 seconds before application

Don't plan to go anywhere or do anything in them and they'll go on fine.

Put them on for a hot date or big night out and you'll just make a total hash of it!

I’m here for you!!

First off buy high quality ones with a soft band, I recommend Doll Lashes. The cheaper ones with a thicker / tougher lash band will pull away from your lash line.

Before you put them on wiggle the band a fair amount to loosen it so it’s a bit more malleable and you can bend it to your lash line.

Check if they need trimming down, most are very long. If you trim down trim from the inner corner so you don’t lose length.

Always use glue that has a blueish tint, I recommend Eyelure you can buy a larger one from Boots.

Put glue on both the lash AND a little on your lash line. Wait atleast 30 seconds until the glue on the lash is tacky.

The most important thing... mascara!! Put a light coat of mascara on 1-2 mins before as your lashes will naturally be soft and lashes will be more susceptible to sliding off. I also add a small coat on after to ensure they all blend.

I also use tweezers when applying them as it is a lot less mess but this is (obviously) advised with extreme caution!

I am self confessed lash queen so hope this helps!!

FYI I just had a look and if you want really eye-opening sexy ones you want the ones called Frankie or Taylor. They’re about £10 but reusable, and you can’t compare the effect they have as they’re curved very vertically and look amazing once on!

Except that I buy really cheap ones in packs of 10 pairs mail order from China which are cheap as chips.

I get the super slutty ones, dark, full and like dead spiders stuck to me peepers.

The one secret I found is to break the back of them, which can be quite stiff. I shape them to contours of my eyes (years of practice I know the curve required).

Then gently place them, they sit perfectly and just need a little adjustment as the glue goes tacky. I need them to curve symmetrically on both sides.

Leave the glue for twice as long as you think you should .. tend to be messy if the glue is too wet and not tacky. Also make sire the tweezers or applicator you’re using doesn’t have glue on it

Practice, and making sure you give the glue time to go tacky helps, stick the middle and then the edges, curved application tweezers help a little too x

I find that practise helps I must admit when I 1st started wearing lashes I had the same problems that everyone is saying. I did try the magnetic ones but just couldn’t manage them.

It’s easy...get the tweezers, glue and steadily but repeatedly ..POKE yourself in the eye. Until your eyes water so much you can’t see...

Then give up and put the false lash into the bin

Honestly struggle with them so bad, although this magnetic stuff sounds interesting ?!

It takes me an hour and half or so to dress and get my face right then another hour cursing the false lashes and generally messing up my eye makeup so I have given up on them for now.

The curved applicators are a gamechanger for sure!

I second all the advice about waiting longer than you think for the glue, making sure they are soft enough etc etc...

Practise, practise, practise.

Buy cheapies and practise just getting used to putting them so close to your natural eyelashes.

I use falsies everyday as I find them so much quicker and simpler than faffing with mascara (and they can't run if they get wet haha) I find the real key is in the glue you use (and I've tried them all hahah) my favourite is the quick dry duo glue it makes applying the lashes so simple x

If you're a fan of a bit of liner then I'd 100% recommend the magnetic ones, I got some for Christmas and they have been life changing, totally reusable, no messing with glue and tweezers. Just use the little applicator tool and make sure the liner is completely dry before applying. The band on them is quite thick but you can cover it with black liquid liner.

Alternatively, if you're going down the glue root try looking down into a mirror, use tweezers or a lash applicator to help with holding the lashes. Make sure your glue is tacky, not dry and not wet. Secure the middle first then go for the corners, ensuring you've cut them down before you glue them is also helpful. It's one of those things that takes practise though
