Checking origins of photos on a profile

I understand there is a program or website which can detect the true origins of a pic shown on a profile on Fab (or any other site) to see if it is genuine or lifted from another website.

If this is correct, can someone point me in the right direction....?

In my experience it's not that reliable at all

I know for a fact that my photos have been taken from here and used on other sites but when I use program's like tineye etc they never find them

Reading how tineye works it does not search for the content of the photo but only the file name and size of file so if somebody takes a photo from here removes the fabswingers wording from the bottom and renames the file it will not come up in a tineye search

So would have thought it would work the other way ie a photo gets taken from another site and used on this site they again would not show up in tineye if the file name was changed

The other thing is site such as fab and other adult sites do not allow eternal search engines inside so tineye never searches the photos on sites like this

If you were to Tineye some of my private photos, you will find them on various other sites. Obviously this means that I am fake, it can't possibly mean I put them there myself!!

There is also Google images. If you use Google chrome you can get an add on that gives you a right click of a pic to check on Google images. Same for tineye.

However, as mentioned above, please just cos a pic is on other sites doesn't mean it's stolen. You have to use common sense and your senses to build a picture of the validity of the profile and pictures. If in doubt just move to the next profile.

It isn't really the pics in this case - that was just to double check my gut feeling. A number of other pointers that all was not going the right way... Oh well.....

The personal inner tineye gut feel is the most reliable - it could just mean that you've got the feel that things aren't right, and you should leave those people behind. I've had one bad profile be in touch with me this week, and another suspect two the past few days - thank goodness that our experience does get strengthened, and we're less likely to be swayed by the trash. Good luck!

they're ineffective.. most sites re-compress images / change the name of the pic when uploaded.. basically the two methods that software uses will be insufficient because most sites do the aforementioned which changes the size and name!

Most digital camera's write something called exif data it is this you would need to access if you were trying to mount a case against anyone!

but you could always watermark your photos if you needed to!

Some of our pictures were "stolen" but we asked the website to take em down and they did, within the hour! There are also pictures of friends that have never been on the 'Net! That told us who stole the pictures from another site as only two people had access to our friends pictures..

But, there are loads of our pictures out there, we just ignore it all now and let em get on with it!

My built in bull shit detector and natural cynicism has only failed me once. I'd always advocate going with your initial gut feeling.

Too many people to choose from, why the angst?

I recently chatted to a guy on here who turned out to be not who he said he was but had 4 photos of someone who definitely wasn't him. Tineye didn't work for me but my gut instinct did and it turned out to be someone I'd had issues with in the past. It scared me to death because for a while I quite liked the guy and had no idea that he wasn't genuine, when I realised who it was I was seriously freaked. So go with your gut!
