Wink, Message, Chat then block you!

We seem to be experiencing a common occurrence, we receive a wink, then Exchange messages, friend invite etc, chat for a bit nothing untoward just general chat, you know, what were looking to get out of this etc, then for no apparent reason they have blocked us, now its not happened with every person/couple we've spoken to, but enough now to make us wonder if we are doing something wrong, anyone else had a similar experience, any feedback would be greatly received, as newbies we would welcome all sensible advice. S & S xx

Just been blocked for not accepting their friends request, even when we say on our profile that we only do it after we've met in person... all reasonable stuff... hey ho, happens to everyone...

Do they send friend invites as well, could well be pic collectors, seems to be one of the things that happens, best advice is to forget them and move on

No unusual requests, just basic introduction, followed by general exchange of messages. Things seem to be going ok, then all of a sudden Blocked, just think its a bit impolite if the interest is not there then a "Thanks but No Thanks" would be nice, its how we deal with people.

it happens to all; usually they really don't want to meet and when they see that it's going to maybe happen they get "cold feet" and do the simple way out and block people... happens to us when we tell people "sorry I smoke and am bi and in your profile you are straight and not looking for smokers" result block... Just forget it... smile and chuckle about it and live for the next week end H.

It has happened to us this morning!! We have been chatting to a couple for ages and for no reason at all, they deleted the whole conversation and deleted the friend request but not untill they had gone in and looked at all our photos, we then sent a message that said " We take it that you no longer want to meet us for a social drink on Saturday then" They deleted, we blocked !!! I don't this is the first for this couple either... wish we could name and shame as i am sure it would get rid of all the time wasters !! ( Perky)

Don't worry, you are not alone. Unfortunately that is the cold, anonymous side of swinging coming through. I have been blocked many times on another site (and Fab too) for simply winking, sending a friend request or an introductory message.

One classic example was a couple who had just accepted my friend request and I sent them a short message thanking them for doing so.

They (or one of them) then sent back a very terse rant saying "grow up! This is not school. We do not accept random friend requests from strangers!!"

I'm sat there thinking "ummm...but you just DID??" So I sent a message back saying "WTF?? Excuse me?" To which I was expecting a similar rant as before, and to which I intended to send "The Mother Of All Rants" in return, and finish off by blocking them.

However, the bastards deprived me of the pleasure...they blocked ME first!! Cunts!!!

Now what did I do to deserve that, eh?

Must admit you develop a sixth sense for it after a while and can see how it's going to work out from the start with some. Still, the glass is half-full, well at least it is until I drink it anyway

some really nice ones make up for all that palava in a stroke

I have a very low boredom threshold.

My profile is written to let people know the type of person I am and the type of person I'm looking for.

There's nothing guaranteed to put me off quicker than after the exchange of a few pleasantries I'm asked "so what you looking for?" Or "how are you finding the site?" Promptly followed by "so what are you going to do to me then?"

I recognise most will find these innocuous comments inoffensive, for me however they're dull and unimaginative. I don't block unless they ask "when you gonna boss me about then?"

I don't have a lot of time to play, I'm here for my own hedonistic pleasure...playing 20 questions is not fun for me.

Yeah it is happening to us on this site to the point that we are thinking of leaving, and looking somewhere else.

We have been nothing but genuine on here but seem to be unable to sort anything out. How do you break into the world of swinging if nobody wants to talk or get involved.

You've only been a member for a few weeks according to your profile, so you need to give it a bit more time. People like to watch others from a distance to see who stays and goes as an indicator of whether they have a genuine or passing interest in swinging. Usually it sorts the wheat from the chaff this way.

Get involved. Post on the forums, get yourself on the list for a social and meet others in a no pressure environment. That way you get to see lots of people, and you get known.
