I'm just interested to know if your first impressions of someone were wrong and have actually gone onto question it, especially with regards to swinging?

It's not often my gut instinct has been off about someone, only once and he stood me up....

People have been mostly as I thought

My first impressions of people are frequently wrong. I try to keep a bit of an open mind if I can. When it comes to swinging I don't think there's usually enough time to do more than form a first impression though.

Most people assume I’m happy because I smile a lot.

Dig a bit deeper and you’ll see it’s often a mask.

Plenty of times, my first impressions have proven to be wrong. Most in a negative way, with people who revealed the ugly parts of their personality after a while. Some rare times, it was the opposite, where a bad first impression turned into lasting friendship.

I wonder how many times people had the same about me.

First impressions do make a lasting impression I would say. Usually though I tend to go with my gut instinct, and usually it's right. Only one time I've gone against it, and the guy I met ended up being the best and longest FWB, I ever had. He was a gem. Sometimes you just have to rethink a first impression.

When you say first impressions are you saying looks or when you've talked to them for a while?

I believe that taking time to really get to know someone goes a long way. But being a couple once established connection it comes to having fun for all, we have experienced some difficulty with that person letting go.

I tend to be slow to come to a conclusion preferring to keep an open mind, but sometimes.... you just know
