I’m not sure if this also applies to female members, I am coming across quite a few men who don’t want to take no for an answer. I try to be respectful when turning a guy down most accept my decision and move along. Unfortunately there are an element of men and probably women who can’t take no thank you. They get a fixation with a member and will not relent until I have no choice but to block. In some cases report as they can become nasty abusive offensive and butt hurt.

Anyone else experienced this awful behaviour?

Im sorry that you have had issues like that. Being a man on fab you have to learn to deal with rejection, something some men are not used to. To be honest it was something I wasn't used to but I have now come to get used to it and move on

I have newbies blocked as they seem to be the worst. They come on thinking it's a sex site so everyone will just say yes.

It takes them a while to get the hang of it.

happens fairly regularly! I block newbies and unverified people from contacting me but even that doesn’t filter all of them out. I just politely decline and then block if they can’t accept no for an answer

But unfortunately it is part of the experience on here I often just come on to read the forums, then a message appears, you answer or even ignore it, then it’s ‘why are you ignoring me ?’

I wish we had a way that we can be online but our profile doesn’t show it. Just so I can read the forums or send messages to a friend without getting a few messages in between.

I just ignore or block if they persist. I can’t stand feeling harassed on what is something that is supposed to be a bit of fun.

Take no prisoners and block them if they can’t take a hint.

you can - under the privacy option click on hide profile and make public as and when you want

I've had its from women and couples as well as men (before I found how to block them).

Like what seams to be the majority of single men on here, I dont get interest very often. So when I get an offer from a profile that catches my eye, I try and make the most of it. But Its a real turn off, when I cant meet for whatever reason and get pestered about it. Makes me think twice about them in the future and question their intentions.

Pushy members ,members who won't take no for an answer and people who don't read profiles really don't help people who genuinely make an effort. We always try to be polite in saying no but we said no thank you to a guy yesterday and the next minute he sent a friend request, why In gods name did he think that was going to be accepted .

I get the same thing. Only yesterday, guy who had joined an hour before and 90 miles away wanted to meet. I said no, back and forth until he came back with "your loss"

I suppose he thought he was clever, he's blocked.

On a more serious note though I think if you've not heard anything back and message not been read then you should just forget about it, sometimes the act of rejecting someone can lead to the trouble, probably best to just ignore and delete.

It's a lucky escape when you realise they aren't for you. Experiencing abuse from just 1 is too much.

I think it's better that fab has a normal situation that no reply, with or without a block, means no interest. And it helps everyone if you block when you decide it's not a match

We’ve not had that experience, as we’ve blocked single guys, noobs and non site supporters from contacting us.

If someone is genuine, then paying to support the site is a good starting place.

That said it doesn’t stop the rest from fabbing your photos in the vain hope you’ll see the error of your ways, make contact, against your better judgement, so you can be fucked (over / off / up - take your pick!)

Weekends are worse with newbies just sending a message free now do you want me come round or pick you up. Trying to answer politely is something you learn very quickly is a mistake.

I usually get the response "I can drive" when I say no thank you and they are too far away.. I can drive too but the distance is the point.

I've also been told they only wanted a fat fuck when I politely declined someone I had met before, then THEY blocked me!!

We had a " couple" msg us, but it seemed it was just the fem that was talking, because my hubby didn't answer her msg straight away she got really pissed of with him and said ffs you either want to walk or you don't, at the end of the day it's just sex...and then blocked us, people haven't a clue how this sight works xx
