Reading, a lost art?

When the blood is diverted, do most find it impossible to simply read a profile? Our block list is growing at a rapid pace

I assume they aren't interested in what I want so delete their messages and quite often I haven't had a message but get the friends request, those get blocked... Even if I fancy them... It's very disappointing. The same with other forum users that think messaging about a thread means they can bypass my profile text too

I try to read carefully before messaging (i say I try because we are humans and can make mistakes sometimes).

I write also decent long messages but yes people do not read and jump to the pictures and judge... Behind every picture there is a story and I try to tell it but most are like babies who cannot read and just look at the draws.

Blocked one five minutes ago. Asked a question that was blatantly answered on our profile. When we pointed it out, said he had no time to read profile and called us time wasters... You've got to laugh

Actually I love Reading, football team, football ground, I camped there for the Reading festival.

We've had people say outright that they can't be bothered to read profiles. That it's a "sex site" and they're not wasting time reading stuff.

There's also the issue that most singles are using a mobile to view the site (easier to do when hiding in the toilet taking dick pics) and looking at a profile on mobile shows photos before the profile text.....

If there is anything worse than a dick pic on the toilet I’d love to know! Why is that even a thing

I read all of your profile. It's a lot longer than average.

I like to see what a profile likes, not so easy to read when a profile lists what they dont like, you have to read between the lines. I suppose is a way of filtering the bothered from the cannot be bothered.

I'm always learning something new from the forums

I always read profiles, and usually read them before looking at the photos. But then, I’m not usually experiencing a rush of blood away from my head at the time! Virtually nobody reads my profile, not even the important bits right at the top (not even my profile header most of the time). I know it’s long, but even the first couple of paragraphs seems to be too much trouble for most.

To be really honest found it quite hard to understand your profile, and I’m pretty smart. I think the first line about looking for people to watch you doesn’t seem to relate to the rest of the text.

Anyway, whatever you do, you’re going to get a lot of daft messages, that’s the nature of the game.
