Blank profiles

Just been checking my messages and my inbox is currently filled of many silhouette avatars with virtually blank profiles, one or two lines of text at most, mostly unverified. The messages are mostly just "hi" "what u up to?" type.

Do these profiles actually get results? To me they just feel like they aren't putting in any effort whatsoever. I always look at a profile before I open a message and if there is nothing at all on the profile to capture my interest then I'm unlikely to even open the message or if I do it's a "thanks but no thanks" which usually results in them asking why.

Am I expecting too much?

I agree if there is no effort in the profile or the message I don't bother to reply.

Lost count of how many "how are you" messages I've had and the profile has no substance. How do they expect to get anywhere?

You’re not expecting too much at all but many many many many people on here are!!!

The view seems to be because you are on this site then you are gagging for anything from anyone at any time!!!

Just delete

Block

Move on.

Just amazes me that people join the site, presumably hoping for chat & meets, but then do absolutely nothing to help themselves. I mean it doesn't take that much effort to write a brief profile & add a few pics, but it'd certainly greatly improve their chances of at least getting a response to a message.

In the mean time my block list just gets longer and longer.

Everyone likes their privacy, who knows who behind these blank avatars, a male adonis, a Mr Gray or just your fellow male stamp collecting perv who only contact with a women is the old post mistress and his mum.

As its impossible to tell from a blank profile I just assume that they fit into the latter category and ignore or block

You’re not expecting too much, my school of thought is if this is the effort they put in what will a meet with them be like! Answer : absolute crap x I would steer well clear !

We don’t take notice of silhouette profiles that message especially if no photos attached to their message and definitely if no profile write up or verifications, pointless comes to mind.
