Looks or not

Do looks play a significant portion to whether people want to meet.

As someone who hasn't been blessed with good looks. I feel that I'm at a massive disadvantage.

Attraction isn't just based on looks its based on much more.

Thoughts?

Looks are more important to some than others. Different people are attracted to different things.

For us its much more about somebody's personality, but looks do play a part. They don't have to look like Brad Pitt or Kelly Brook by any means, but there does have to be some level of physical attraction for us to be interested.

I think it has to be a bit of both ..there has to be some physical attraction and equally the most handsome Apollo will not do if he has the brain and conversational skills of a goldfish.

For me, there has to be some "spark" between me and the person I'm thinking of meeting. It's definitely not based on looks, though obviously I am not attracted to just everyone and anyone. The person needs to be able to engage me in a conversation, treat me like a person rather than just sexual object.

On here, instead of photos, I am more interested in how the person sounds on their profile; if they engage in discussions on the forum, how they sound there, do they seem to like intelligent, mature enough people or are they just whining about things without willing to make improvements. Status updates are a big thing for me, too.

In real life, particularly when I'm in a club, the most important is how they behave towards me and my partner. Are they just one of the "wanking zombies", following us around, touching themselves; or one of the "lurkers", that just keep looking or even staring without saying a word; or are they treating both me and my partner with respect, try to chat to both of us rather than wait for me to be on my own. Whether I engage with them or not has very little to do with how they look but more with how they are making me feel around them, and if I feel some chemistry.

Looks are very important to me as is how someone presents themself when it comes to meeting with a view to swinging.

This is about mutual fantasy fulfilment and whole I need to like someone on a superficial level I need to find them attractive first.

A lot of people assume that there is only one definition of attractive though and automatically think that anyone who says that looks are important has a very narrow criteria. That isn't true, I'm attracted to a very wide range of men.

As far as you're concerned op I think you look great

You’re not bad looking, you look like Gareth Southgate in your last pic! There’s many different looks, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Some might like a certain look and we’ll think “no thanks “. Yes looks are important, as is a body, as is a personality. It’s about the whole package

I think looks and being sexy are two different things. I (MR) am often told how hot and sexy I am but sometimes look in the mirror and think what a ugly fucker, how the hell do I get that many women

Agreed you are not ugly but you need styling up imo to get the sexiness coming out more, if you want to appeal beyond a very small niche. But if you are comfortable and confident with your style and your mojo works then ignore that

Yes. Why bother otherwise? We are a couple who are very happy at home we’re just also perverts who like bringing others into the mix. I think there is a common misconception that swingers are desperate...this isn’t POF

The face would be the very first thing we absolutely must be attracted to. Could have a body to die for but we must be attracted looks wise. Call us shallow if you like but we couldn't get into be with someone we didn't think was good looking. Everyone is different and look for different things
