Best way to go about my new profile?

I’m looking at getting my own profile as a single guy. This was a couples profile but we’re no longer together, I’m going to delete it and start again on my own. I’ve enjoyed being on the site. We didn’t meet that many people and I don’t intend to going forward really but I like chatting to people and using the forums.

Obviously I’m going from being a verified member on here for over 4 years to what’s going look like any other brand new unverified single guy.

I always see profiles that say. ‘Previously on here as a couple’ and things like ‘was verified before’ etc but I always tend to view these comments negatively for some reason.

What’s people’s opinions on the best way to start a new profile. Start from scratch looking like a total newbie or mention the fact I was part of a couple and been here before etc?

Thanks in advance!

You could display your verifications on your current couples profile then make a new single profile and reference the couples one on it so people can look at it and see you are genuinely verified.

I would just start from scratch as the veris on the couples one are no longer relevant. I would put a note on there saying you are returning to fab as single. Perhaps ask someone who has previously verified you to do so again. Good luck with whatever you decide to do. X

Thanks for the reply. I did think about doing that but I can’t start a new profile until I delete this one. (I can only use my email address for one profile.)

Plus I feel like I really want to delete this one and just move on anyway.

Thanks. So you don’t think it looks like a bit of a negative then to say I was part of a couple that ended? Maybe I’m too cynical. I always wonder if it’s just a line when I see that or I assume Fab life has ruined the relationship! x

Are you still in touch with people who verified you? If so, explain the situation to them and ask them if they would mind verifying that they met you on a previous profile. Good luck with the new profile.

No, I don't think it's negative, I would look at it that you are experienced about the way swinging works as you were part of a couple on fab. You don't have to give any reason for no longer being part of a couple either, as that is your personal business. There's advice on my profile should you wish to use it. Xx

Yeah that sounds good. Thanks for the advice, much appreciated. I’ll take a look at your profile then. Thanks a lot. x

Hi Sam, I’m not really in touch with any of them apart from one guy who’s remained a friend. I wouldn’t want to ask him though. I never trust man to man verifications myself anyway. We’ve had loads of guys asking us to verify them when we don’t even know them. I think I’ll just explain the situation in my profile.

To be honest it’s not even like I’m looking for meets, definitely not yet anyway. I just wanted to chat to people for now but want to look more genuine than just having a newbie profile.
