I've heard of this before but didn't know if it was just an urban myth? I'd love to hear from someone who was active then to see if it was true, and how it worked?

A definite pre-digital urban myth.

I've seen some pictures of it online in candyfloss style pastel colours, I've never seen it in real life like that though, it looks awesome.

Porthmadog

When we heard this, we just had to plant one, mainly as a joke. So we ordered online, and found you can get them with both pink and white fronds.

Which made us think, is it white for hetero couples and pink for bisexual ones?

Our pink pampas is doing well xxx

We are a cliché! We have pampas grass at the side of our house and are about to take delivery of a hot tub!

Every other house in Cornwall must be a swingers house then, with the amount that grows there!

I had to tidy one up in a middle school near me. It had started to rot in the middle and was full up with litter. I gave it a severe hair cut with a tractor mounted flail mower. This was about 15 years ago and it`s still alive!
