Feeling on verifications

Jump to newest

Hi, I’m curious as to people’s feelings and thoughts on verifications. Espically what women and couples think.

I used to display all mine but apparently it put some people off or is that just a excuse

Personally for me when I find someone and meet them for the first time I enjoy reading the verifications, the more there is the better for me.

I’ve now decided to just show my latest verification but my profile still shows how many I’ve had.

I would be interested to hear your thoughts on this and see if Single females and couples have a different opnion to single males on it.

You can't win with verifications.

If you have what is deemed too many verifications it will put some people off but not others. If you don't display your verifications it will put some people off but not others. Some people think if you don't display your verifications you are hiding something. Some people go through all your verifications and check who you have met previously. Some people will then not meet you because of some of the previous meets you had had.

I don't display my verifications. If I asked a woman out on a date I wouldn't expect her to say "Before we go out on a date can you tell me who all the women you have been on dates with before me".

Most don't actually bother to read the content, just summary. Hence why they jump to the wrong conclusion and assume that I've fucked all my meet veris when most have been through organised socials lol.

If I read verifications that are territorial in nature or overly explicit I'm immediately put off. All I really need to know is that you turn up and bear a strong resemblance to your photos

Most of them on here read like TripAdvisor reviews

Nice to seem but I'll make my own mind what I want to do when we meet in public.

It's 2020 meeting someone in person from the Internet is a basic life skill.

Nobody should require someone elses verification

We would only meet a single man if he had verifications especially if we know some of them , the more you have we feel the better it is as least you won’t be a time waster

We like them but only use them as an indication of whether there’s likely to be some compatibility between us.

The number doesn't bother me, however the content can occasionally be off putting.

I don't display mine as I've found no positives in doing so, but several negatives.

My advice is do what you want

As a couple we tend not to go for people with a lot of verifications (where they have played) missus check to see how many play meets they have had, in the 5 or so years we have been swinging, we have had, about 8 meets but only 3 of them turned into play, we understand that everybody is different and want different things from swinging, we want quality over quantity, this is our option x

We wouldn't reply to your profile with just that one veri on display. If you had more on show we may, 27 veris wouldn't be off putting. We follow the verification trail and yours stops very quick. That's our personal stance, of course everyone does things different.

I would be interested to know what negatives people can place on someone’s verifications? I enjoy reading them and often I am able to get a kind of ‘feel as to who I am meeting’

You know you can hide your summary if you want.. If you don't want people to know how many veris you have.

I would be reluctant to meet with a man who didn't have any verifications displayed (or very old ones). Mostly because of bad experiences, people not turning up, not being like their photo etc.

Some verifications have made me feel more comfortable about the individual where some have totally turned me off. Overall i rather see verification than none

Despite knowing some see them as a requirement we choose to not display ours as we don’t kiss and tell.

We always write them for others and leave it up to them to decide if they want to show them though.

False verifications are still a problem on here as I discovered last week.

Do you remember the friends list people could display ?

What a lot of bitching that caused

So does published verifications.

And I think your right published verifications does put some off

Atleast most are hiding them now.

I'm of the opinion that if you don't show them, you have something to hide, particularly if there are a few not shown and the rest visible.

Its think its slightly different for guys and girls/couples..reflecting the imbalance of numbers.

A guy with no verris shown is going to struggle a lot more than a lady I think.

I would have thought, given the number of no shows etc they can only be a positive thing ...tho I do believe there are some well verified fake profiles on here ...and I don't know how they do it..

For me as a single guy over the age of 50 I feel it’s important I show my verifications so that others can see what I am like and hopefully consider meeting.Mine are all on display showing club meets , private meets and social events.

I got talking to a lady who was verified by webcam.

She immediately told me she didnt have a cam....

I suspect she didnt trust me but if she was telling the truth then verifications arent worth diddly squat if there is only one in total

Verified to tick the fab box only..

But won't display when or who I met.. No one else's business. I'm not trip advisor n don't need a review of my fufu.

Plus if it says I met Mr A the Mr BCD and E complain.

We would rather see them all and if we noticed somebody publicly displayed and others not, we’d move on.

Yes, I totally agree with this too, but this is a virtual platform and with this, you need reassurance. You’re not going to take up on a guy who had 7 verifications and 3 showing which are vague compared to a man who has 29 and they’re all positive are you?

We look for verifications to out the fakes,

It’s also nice to know more about how people are from the social side of things from our point of view,

Suppose it’s each to their own on this one though,

But sometimes verification are hidden if the member left the site so impossible to show if they even want to

I go to, and organise socials , and hence have quite a lot of verris (I have never asked for one..) , I don't show them all simply because it's a lot of repetitive stuff to wade through..so I thought. If any body wanted to see them all they are welcome...

I also think a verification is just to confirm the profile is real. Therefore, multiple veris from the same person are unnecessary and annoying. I don't think a verification was intended to be a scoresheet.

Agree too many people use them as an ego booster/scoresheet

veris in my opinion are only needed from a females point of view to say the guy or couple were ok to meet, nothing else needs to be said, they cause negativity in this life keep them private, people will discount you for many reasons eg action pics, no accom, distance but also veris, limit the negatives

Tried this approach and had loads of accusations of being fake, waste of time etc. Despite my profile stating I organise socials lol.

We just display them to make our profile transparent and we’d rather work our way through verifications and fine a genuine person without having to ask someone first. Personal preference is suppose. We do also look for recent veris too to make sure we are seeking people who are active regularly.

When I was playing, I displayed all of mine and there were alot of them. If it was a put off for some, they just weren't the type of people I would want to play with anyway so no big deal... I now hide them as they only seem to encourage people to message, even tho I am not meeting (even without lockdown)

I look at verifications to see if they are real (example couples) also some are an interesting read.

I display mine and not fussed what people think of them. Most of mine on my old account were from socials.

I'm not too fussed on the amount as many people attend social parties so naturally can gain a lot of verifications from them.
