That is true to certain extent because can be multiple reasons, but I doubt it for when gone that far as the OP has mentioned.

Definitely sounds dodgy.

For the record and re-confirmed:

There are many fakes/timewasters, hidden motives or whatever else you want to call it. Veri's or not there are plenty that can and do deceive. Some actually get a thrill out of it... it's their thing! You just have to learn from it and look out for the common tell tell signs to not fall for it again.

When it’s a reoccurring theme it gets boring. Nothing to do with being a wet lettuce. If I wrote a post every time it’s happened I’d clog the forums to the extent nobody else can post.

Yep you just have to move on and not dwell on it because the other person has long gone onto the next victim! Sometimes they may even have multiple ones at the same time so you can't even feel special

We have blocked guys after talking on kik because you find out whether you have a rapport or not.

The amount of guys we have come across that try to start a secret chat, turn into a white Knight or just not get swinging is unreal.

I think while it’s fair to have a change of heart, which does happen, people shouldn’t invest so much in the first place, as it’s not fair on the person you’re blocking.

I know things start off as a virtual interaction but it’s very much a decent human being on the other side who deserves to be treated with respect.

I think someone mentioned if it’s happening multiple times, the poster is the common denominator. This isn’t always true. If you’re having a lot of messages with people or swapping numbers a lot, it increases the frequency of it happening if you think about it.

I think it’s best as some have said to try and work people out for what they are before swapping numbers as some do just want the reciprocal fun back and forth. Or they do yes move on to something better... sad as that sounds. It’s the world we live in, the digital age!

I always assume that the folk on here have several conversations going on at any one given time and so the chance of being passed over for someone different is extremely high (all things being equal). The profiles and pics on here and even the messages are all just phantoms up and until you actually meet in person. And ghosts can fade away easily.

Some do in fact say things like how much more do you want I have pics etc But we went to meet a guy on a social a few years back in a pub in view to having a play meet after if we all got on well.When he walked in we didn't even know it was him.Apparently the pics on his profile needed updating ..Lesson learned from that experience.
