Best way to remove body hair...

Jump to newest

By (user no longer on site) OP

So I'll bet this will raise a few smiles

I HATE my body hair and shave it off regularly, but doing so leaves stubble and it comes back almost immediately

Any better methods? Veet cream?

My wife joked about an epilator, but I'm not that much of a masochist and wax is only usable in some areas.

I see some cd/TVs on here nail it, so curious to know the strategy

I believe you can use wax in all areas.

Magic powder?

A normal, electric beard shaver does the trick for me,really smooth and no bumps afterwards but your hair needs to get used to it. However on the balls i still have to shave

Laser treatment will remove it permanently. It takes a few sessions but you start seeing results right away

"I believe you can use wax in all areas.

Magic powder?

So when I was a lad there was a blokes mag called FHM, and in that there was a letters section.

A guy wrote in to share a horror story of how he decided with a mate to wax his whole body including nut sack. He claimed he tore the sack open

This story has stuck with me, and wax is absolutely not on the list for anywhere sensitive

nonblonde_nomore: thank you. Is laser treatment a professional treatment or something you can buy for home?

If you have a lot of time, patience and the right skin/hair pigmentation you can get reasonably good resukts with home IPL(intense pulsed light) treatment. Over time it has massively reduced hair regrowth for me.

Laser hair is a professional service but you can also buy an IPL device to use it at home.. it’s long lasting but not permanent

My laser lady used to work for nhs giving treatment to trans people during their transition as some found their face hair growth to be distressing

For your needs, I would suggest, IPL, Providing hair is not blond, or white. Safe for all areas, leaves no stubble. Not too expensive to buy, however, the light emitter, can be expensive at first until, hair thickness is reduced, but, hair will return. Laser, only works on darker hair and is very expensive and takes a long time also, can be painful, especially over bone, Not absolutely guaranteed. Electrolysis, Is the Only treatment for Permanent hair removal. Expensive, can be painful ,takes a long time.

Waxing is my favourite, but if you want intimate areas waxed go to a professional. The only drawback is you have to let it grow a bit before your next waxing as there needs to be enough for the wax to stick to.

Various methods and have tried everything but the best solution I have found is to epilate all over except the face of course and IPL once a week.

Get a wax or use a specialist hair removal cream but avoid Veet.

Obviously I can’t get a wax at the moment so I tried No Hair Crew intimate hair removal cream which worked really well. I left it on for about 6 minutes and it came off a treat with no side effects. Leave it on your sac for less time though.

Wax, the best thing I ever did. I don’t suffer with ingrown hairs but if you do, you definitely have to regardless exfoliate to prevent them.

If you’re willing to spend £££ laser hair removal will get rid of hair almost permanently! This is my next mission.

I get waxed regularly..not as painful as you'd think.Take a painkiller about 30 mins before hand and get everything off below the waist front and back.

Its more comfortable for me to be honest as I'm still working and normally drive a lot

Waxing is good but you end up with stubble waiting for regrowth until you can wax again, hence epilation is better for me and lasts a couple of weeks.

"there something called sugaring which is supposed to work really well"

Sugaring is similar to waxing. Same result just different products and slight difference in techniques. They work in same way but marketing will have u believe Sugaring is less painful but as both treatments involve pulling the hair follicle from the root it all boils down to the skill of the therapist.

See someone trained in either and are trained specifically in intimate hair removal if yr doing the genitals. Not all therapists are qualified/trained in doing this area it is very much an add on skill to a basic qualification.

I have no pain threshold whatsoever, so if all I'm saying is "it stings a tiny bit" you'll be fine.

Avoid this around the sack area, can burn like a mf.

I too could do with some magic wand I always keep it trim and sometimes go full shave for something different, but it's always a pain when it grows back.

I shave my cock and balls every morning using an electric razor. First thing I do is drop my trousers to expose my cock and balls and let my balls cool so my ball sack tightens a bit. This makes it easier to shave. Your skin does get used to being shaved by an electric razor and you will be nice and smooth !

Over the years I've used Veet, Nair and Magic Powder in both forms.

Veet works but as others have mentioned smells and if left too long can burn, how long can vary from person to person and at nearly £10 tube it isn't cheap.

Nair has same issues as Veet, only positive is the price of £1 from Poundland etc.

Magic Powder was intorduced to me by a fellow Fabber who found out about from her balck male friends. I initially bought the powder and after several failed attempts at getting the mixture right gave up on it. Fast forward to three years ago when I found Magic Powder cream on Ebay. It works the same as Veet/Nair but without the burning if left too long, I've left it for close to ten mminutes whilst I've shaved my face with no bad sensation but others might not be so lucky. They do say 4-5 minutes. The cream comes in diferent strengths, I prefer the red one which is the strongest and regardless of strength I don't pay no more than £5 a tube.

As with my use of Nair and Veet I found the best way of hair removal was the green scouring side of a dish sponge, you might leave some hair behind in areas you covered in hair removal cream but the friction from clothes/movement will get rid of whats left behind.

...’green scouring side of a dish sponge’ - ouch! Bet that not only removes hairs but dead skin too using the green side smooth as they come

I tend to use one of those eGroomers and trim my body hair to 3mm (it’s not too short to be stubbly) and eShave my buttocks and razor shave my balls and around the base of my cock. And yes, tend to trim my pubic area down 3mm, unless of course if I’m meeting someone who wants it totally shaved, in which case, well out comes ma razor

I used to go for waxing each month and whilst it was way better than shaving you have to let it grow a bit to get it waxed again.

I've had laser now. I had some done in a salon and then when home devices became cheaper and better I bought one. I'm so pleased I did.

I went from shaving being a totally unsuitable option to hair free in the places I want to be hair free. If you have pale skin and dark hair it's brilliant. There are some restrictions on where you can use it though.

I bought a smoothskin. I spoke to the IPL expert in Boots and he said they make the salon ones and so the tech is good but you're not paying for a brand name. I did have an issue with my first one but they replaced it with no quibbles.

If you Google smoothskin you'll find them. They have a couple of options available.

I shave my legs and other bits and bobs . Fresh razor i use pears soap as a lather then add Aussie mega miracle conditioner. Makes for a soft smoothie skin with a soft feel afternoon. The hotter the water the better the results.

Occasionally i will hard wax my entire panty area but then you must wait for a good few weeks

Which in the current situation is not a problem.

The ‘torn nutsack’ thing is bullshit. Ive been waxed a fern times, it really isnt that bad. The anticipation is way worse than the reality, its done in seconds and lasts a while. Can’t imagine doing to myself though, go to a professional.

Sorry I missed this.

They say it's not permanent. But it sort of is. You just have to do it once every few weeks to deep them coming back.

I'd really recommend it if you have the right skin and hair colour combo
